RE: [hlds] Rollback dlls wanted

2004-06-18 Thread James Bowling
Now that was a stupid statement...Because yes, we are forced to run it. For
those of us who make money doing this, demand is that force...So please
rethink your statement before replying...

Nobody forces you. :-) And for the record, I haven't seen any of the
problems that others are having. I'm running a stock CS server with no
addons...

RE: [hlds] Latest Win Version, HLDS - Lag Issue

2004-06-18 Thread James Bowling
And also, keep in mind that "if" you were correct, which you aren't, the
network engineers who allowed the BGP sessions to become overloaded would
have been fired in the first place. So, I highly doubt that your instance
here is the true problem. Also, many of us have already established that
the problem is not latency but a problem with CPU usage spiking and causing
the latency. So please try to read the rest of the posts before coming out
and saying some lame barney-type excuse for kissing VALVe's ass. Thanks!

Keep in mind that storms, and the DAMAGE they have caused to backbones are
why you are possibly why you are seeing increased latency. Remember all
those tornadoes and the severe weather? Well, I am sure quite a few nodes
are having to re-route now. And these re-routing nodes are probably
OVERLOADED.

Instead of blaming VALVe, why don't you do a tracert first. And see if their
is any BAD nodes on the route. 8) -StealthMode

And BTW, noone is "blaming" VALVeThere is no need to blame. They know
about the issue...we are just concerned because this is something that can
hurt our companies.

My servers certainly don't, and I haven't been in one that has had it.
(I don't pub, I've only been scrimming.)

Thats bullshit. amxmod have to hook these functions, to call it. When
the
parameters were changed, then it cant be hooked. If it cant
be hooked, then it cant be used by amxmod. There is no endless loop,
because the lag spikes are not endless.
Also "clean" servers have the same problem, so dont spread your
nonsense.
