Re: [hlds] Re: [hlds][OT] Belkin HELP

2004-11-19 Thread Steve!
I've got a Belkin ADSL/Wireless modem/firewall/router, and I HAVE
successfully configured it before to run and display in the server list My
server... It would seem however, at the moment, that it ISN'T showing, so
maybe something else has changed? I'll play with it later on and if I get
settings working I'll let you know, it IS possible tho, so don't just give
up.

Within the last week or so, nVidia released drivers that fixed the crashing
issues that previous versions had - in AC2, I couldn't run for 15 minutes
without the video driver crash. Now, it's rock solid. This was released
maybe 10 days ago?

Re: [hlds] OT: Upgrade from Bronze HL2 package...

2004-11-19 Thread mosca
Is this an ATI only offer? :(

Wow. For coupon holders, the upgrade option is already implemented. I
got Bronze by default with my ATI coupon. While logged into Steam, I
went to Browse Games, it told me I already owned Bronze, and then
under Silver it actually listed the math out:

 Silver: $59.99
 - Bronze (-$49.99)
 = $10.00 upgrade price

I did this about 3 weeks ago.

[hlds] motd.txt ? which one do i edit

2004-11-19 Thread BlackYoda
hello... i am a newbie CS : Source admin, trying to set up a dedicated
server on Windows 200.
I am having some trouble with the motd... I noticed on the GoGoGo
Speakeasy server they were able to display an image in the motd.. That
is sweet... I can't seem to edit the motd and have the changes take
effect at all.
This is a dedicated server install, no steam, etc.
My CS dedicated server is installed here:
C:\hl2\
It came with a motD here:
c:\hl2\cstrike\motd.txt
If I edit that file the default motd is still displayed no matter what.
I tried moving that file to the srcds.exe directory (C:\hl2\) and the
same thing happened.
Where does the motd need to be?
thanks in advance for any help. I searched the archives and I didn't see
this question answered, but there was other helpful stuff about motd.

AFAIK, the SLI's use 2 8x slots. Also...i am unaware of any chipset
that can handle more than 20 pci-e lanes.

BTW, could you please email me offlist the addon or extension for Outlook/OE

This is probably a long shot, as it's not the first time it's been brought up...
Now that CS:S is out can we get a VAC update or something that stops this
blasted non-steam thing for CS1.6?
It's causing so many problems as we are banning 4-10 cheats per day...

I'm pleading with you PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE can we have some info on it
PLEASE
I just can't stand no knowing anything, atleast an update on why it's still
allowed
if it's going to be fixed
or if you are even working on it?
PLEASE!

CS:S is a totally different game, so I don't want to have to upgrade it to
CS1.6 to CS:S just yet

I hope we can get some info, anything is better than sitting in the dark

Thanks, DarK

[hlds] Error verifying STEAM UserID Ticket

2004-11-19 Thread Janzert
After restarting one of my CS servers Wednesday I started getting this
error when someone tries to connect:
Dropped Player from server.
Reason: Error verifying STEAM UserID Ticket(server was unable to
connect to the authentication server, 27).
I have tried just about everything I could think of to correct it. I've
got several other servers on the box that are still working fine. Some
of the things I've tried doing are:
Stop using metamod
Change the port
Change the IP
Delete clientregistry.blob
Delete installrecord.blob
Leaving the server up for several hours.
Leaving the server down for several hours.
Use a completely fresh install
Create a new steam account
Now I restarted a DoD server and it's getting the same error.
Anyone have any ideas?
