Re: [hlds] Vac2 Beta Lag Spikes
There isn't much going on with the server side of VAC (ie cheat detection done by client side, etc), so it really shouldn't lag UNLESS you are really close to your max bandwidth, and in that case you might drop a COUPLE of packets, but nothing that should cause a noticable lag... I can imagine it might take a little longer at round start, but I still think it would only be <1sec... our memory/proc usage didn't change at all when we started the VAC beta, and hasn't trended up either... Re: [hlds] bots now load after 1st round with update CSS dedicated w2k
Ned, If you're still having problems with bots not joining and rounds not restarting when the first player hits the server and you don't want to have bots in the server all the time, I have a solution Only problem is it does require 2 plugins to get it to work (Mani admin and Mattie's event scripts). Let me know if you're interested. Stephen. ___ To unsubscribe, edit your list preferences, or view the list archives, please visit: http://list.valvesoftware.com/mailman/listinfo/hlds

Re: [hlds] Get this guy off the list please!
Technically this Anti-Spam measure system should not respond to mailing lists. The mailing list headers are intact and responses of this type should never be sent to recipients shipping such a header, whilst this would introduce a failing to their system, signing up a mail account to a mailing list is generally a sure fire way of increasing your incoming spam. Use seperate accounts if this is the case. I cannot sign up to this site and send him mails because I cannot agree to the terms of service as I do not speak the language and will not leave it to "chance" that the contract is fine. This is why I would like the person removed from the list.
