Bots are built into CZ for cs 1.6 you need to download and install bots.
Not really up on what's available for 1.6 bots these days

Re: [hlds] Bot question

2006-04-16 Thread Charlie Mitchell
Have another question. Trying to play CZ right now, and my character
is running, falling, basically moving in all directions really slow.
I'm almost walking compared to e veryone else in the server. Any fix
ideas? I have tried:
cl_forwardspeed
cl_backspped
cl_sidespeed

default is 400 but I put them up to 1000.

It was working fine the last time I played which was about 5 days ago.

[hlds] No connections anymore

2006-04-16 Thread Travis Mitchell

[ Converted text/html to text/plain ]

I bet you guys are prolly sick of hearing from me lol. But I got the
server up, had it running had about 70 people connect the first night. Then I
had it up in the morning and I checked on it after a bit and I got the message
Half-Life Launcher has encountered a problem and must be shut down and
blah blah But ever since that happened... No one can connect to my server.

RE: [hlds] re: Disabled Account

2006-04-16 Thread Edward Luna
I don't get it Ray... you appear to be convicting yourself with your own
post. If you're actually just trying to update everyone as to the actual
reason your account was disabled then I applaud your honesty but somehow I
think you may have something else in mind.

I think I read an admission (of sorts) in one of you recent posts, that you
may have gone a bit too far in presenting your case against Valve but it's
not at all clear from your wording if you intend to accept the judgment of
Valve as final. Clearly, a threat against a Valve (or Steam or whatever the
controlling entity is) employee is reason enough to have your account
disabled but are you suggesting that you are due a refund or perhaps should
have your account reactivated?

Steam is a reality and it is here to stay... we all need to work within the
structure that has been presented to us. Are you asking to be reinstated
within that structure or do you intend to continue your role as an outside
antagonist? As I stated in prior posts... many of your observations,
although crudely presented, had merit and were well worth further
discussion, but the hostility with which your message was presented
overshadowed the message itself and directly lead to the actions taken
against your account. It is highly disingenuous of you to suggest that your
account was disabled for any reason other than a direct result of your crude
demeanor and threatening behavior towards the very people who routinely
offer help to the extent that they can.

Will you remove yourself from the list now?

FYI There is a CSP rcon hack going around for CSS.
I won't say what it is but all admins who use this should be aware. And
shut it off.

There will be an official statement at the end of the CAL season, until than
we'd prefer to prevent any kind of publicity on the issue. If you're running
a public server with CSP on it, I recommend replacing it with the new build
of zBlock.

It affects all versions of CSP CVARBLOCK as well as all versions except
the latest of zBlock

AFAIK, zBlock is the only one that has a fix for this exploit, although I am
happy to be proven wrong in this case.

Luckily or unluckily we found out about this particular exploit
approximately 2 hours before close of business on Thursday, and because
there was no quick fix coming, we had to pull zBlock off all our servers
until Tuesday, when all the staff are back from Easter holidays.

We will be upgrading to the latest version then.
