So I finally am setting up a server, and I have a question for all you wise,
experienced, and mature, server admins out there:
Is there a free alternative to HLstatsX Premium? I see that there is a
premium, and that you don't have to pay for the not premium, but is that
sufficient enough for basic my-server-only tracking?

be? Or are the kinks still being fixed?

  Confirmed, it was the DR. I think a slightly longer cloak and shorter
  regen is now justified. I'm also not sure why that loud sound is
  needed when decloaking it seems overkill. Put all this together and
  you have a unlock about as useful as the sandvich and bonk.

If Valve actually finished the system, and added in trading and a focus
so you can choose which unlock to work towards, the system would be fine,
yet it is unfinished and only going to piss off everybody. I would like to
see the achievements improving your chance of getting items, and not being
able to farm items by idling as a spectator. I do like that almost no one
is playing sniper/spy, so that is a major bonus.

 scoring stats because people just go there to idle!  We're running one
 for our regulars and members on our sourcemod code test server so that

theres a sourcemod plugin that allows you to hook and use the item
found event and make it Look like a player has received items.

very fun to use and piss the hell off of other players and also fun to
put other items in the item found prompt.

I have doubt, since I have a friend who knows not very much about computers
and source, and just recieved several hats. I place blame on Steam's servers
as they have a history of crashing, overloading, and other malfunctions.

Left 4 Dead relies on the Steam network for any multiplayer at all, when it
goes down, l4d goes down. Keep your eye on the steam forums friend
maintenance thread for times.
