RE: [hlds] RE: [hlds_linux] Source Engine Beta Available

2007-01-17 Thread Chris Barnett

Alfred,

Is there any chance that something can be done so that a version of it can
only be used in CS:S during freeztime and roundend? I'm not asking for an
answer now, it's just that I've put loads and loads of time into creating
overlays to add atmosphere to the game and I've got loads of plans for it.

I already have 148 overlays which took a lot of time and effort to make. I
was just about to redo them all - which would have involved over 400
photoshoots of differently dressed CTs and Terrors in gmod!

I'm not asking for an answer now, but please, please, please with sugar on
top can you give it some thought, because otherwise I'm gonna loose a lot of
work that my little community of players, really like. I'll zip up the
overlay VTFs and you can see what I was up to and how much work went into
all of it.

Cheers.

RE: [hlds] RE: [hlds_linux] Source Engine Beta Available

2007-01-17 Thread Chris Barnett

Jason,

What is the deal with r_screenoverlay? At the moment, I use it for round end
wins...my CS:S server has 2 custom player models per map and it shows a
picture of the winning player model at round end. We are going to improve it
all by adding humour in - e.g a terrorist showing a V sign while the CT has
his head in his hands.

At the moment, we rely on the players setting cl_restrict_server_commands to
"0" for that to work. Is there now further restrictions on this coming up?

Cheers

Alfred,

Thankyou so much for running a beta, rather than a straight update. This
really does mean a lot to plugin makers, service providers and server
operators. This is really appreciated. If you keep releasing betas first, a
lot of people can be kept very happy!

Thanks,

Chris Barnett / Layabout

[hlds] RE: [hlds_linux] Source Engine Beta Available

2007-01-12 Thread Alfred Reynolds
cl_interp has been removed and replaced with cl_interp_ratio.

cl_interp_ratio sets the interpolation time to
cl_interp_ratio/updateRate. Added sv_min_cl_interp_ratio (default: 1.0)
and sv_max_client_interp_ratio (default: 2.0) to let the server bound
interp settings.
