Re: [hlds] source compatible rcon tools
Ok, thanks. Do you know of any other ways to remotely monitor chat in DM? Hi.. No - it's a command line tool that was primarily designed to be used in .bat and script files, to help automate rcon functions as part of scheduled maintenance etc. Adam was looking for a way to ensure the log files were closed before bringing game services down - and this allows you do that, amongst other things. It's not really intended as a console tool, hence no nifty UI, like HLSW, for watching chat, etc.. Just a small bit of kaboodle for the kit... Frazer, Frazer Frazer... It should be me hanging my head in shame mate, as I have not been giving you any assistance on that work ;) BTW - I've got an alternative package I found on Sourceforge that is PHP based. I will use this instead once I figure out how to code sockets in PHP. For now, don't do anymore on your project until I work out if the thing im using can do everything I need (which it looks like it does). Frazer is da bomb. -- [ Picked text/plain from multipart/alternative ] Well with addons like amx or amxx, HLSW is the only tool I would use. any Rcon command you can enter into the console, you can enter with HLSW. But since they aren't available for source mods im not sure what your best alternative would be. Can't you use manimod through HLSW. if so that should give you extra fuctionality i would think. google "remote admin tools" . google is your friend. ---Original Message--- From: David Williams Date: 03/17/06 20:01:27 To: hlds@list.valvesoftware.com Subject: [hlds] source compatible rcon tools hey guys. i just had a source server come online and i was wondering if there was a good tool to send rcon commands to it. I've tried hlsw but it's to much aimed at monitoring rather than interatcion. any one got any ideas. p.s free is good ver good :) ___ To unsubscribe, edit your list preferences, or view the list archives, please visit: http://list.valvesoftware.com/mailman/listinfo/hlds -- ___ To unsubscribe, edit your list preferences, or view the list archives, please visit: http://list.valvesoftware.com/mailman/listinfo/hlds
