I could but it's not really game changing and so doing that would just
reduce the number of servers where you might get a decent game from time
to time.

A lot of plugins are already too noisy so current evidence suggests this
doesn't discourage their use.

Coloured chat is like trade pop ups or mic spam or sprays - there are no
good uses for them - the easiest thing is a client option that disables
them.

Remembering the old adage "programmers who can't program write plugins",
the sap admin who wants an otherwise reasonable plugin to provide
functionality has to put up with the plugin authors bad taste if he adds
colours to the output it produces.

Yes, avoiding crappy servers usually works best but since most of us
here run our own servers, it isn't even an issue for us.

It amounts to the same problem. In fact it'll probably be worse at least
you can mute clients.

2012-05-10 Thread bottige...@gmail.com
You hook the function in steamclient.so and store it in the proper
place until Steam_FreeLastCallback is called.

It doesn't really matter anyway since it doesn't work. I have tried it
numerous times and also tried other enums and status codes in a for
loop.

Subject: Re: [hlds_linux] Reconnect to steam command?

It is continuing to happen and randomly dropping servers from the master
list.

Again I have used wireshark and found no packets being sent or
received anymore on port 26901 when there normally should be.

I have also checked TCP and neighboring ports to make sure it did not
switch.

Firewalling the port or sending a disconnected callback on
Steam_BGetCallback does not help or create any messages in
steam/logs/connection_log.txt.
