[hlds_linux] sv_lan 0 busted?
Hi, A friend and I are trying to connect to each other's listen servers for testing, over the Internet. We create a server, set sv_lan 0, but receive LAN servers are restricted to local clients (class C).. We're seeing this in HL2DM, CS:S and Source MP. I've also tried setting my IP, and port forwards are good. I know this has worked before - I used to do this all the time. Anyone know why this is suddenly not working or if there's additional steps that need to be taken? Agreed. Virtualbox works well. It is not an option in this environment unfortunately. If spinning up a windows instance was an option, I wouldn't have even bothered wasting time with this. I'm trying to build a catalog of maps on my hl2dm server and include screen shots for preview purposes. As far as I know screen shots are only named -MM-DD_sequence. I figure some sort of overlay hack could be used, but I dislike this idea. I could also setup a bind that executes a server side command to log the current date, but I'd still have to manually correlate the time stamps of when the screen shot was taken and the actual screen shot filename. I don't think there'd be a way to capture the generated screen shot name either. Any ideas? Re: [hlds_linux] Screen shots and automagically correlating them with map names
AFAICT It only correlates it to the game - I don't see a reference to the actual map the screenshot was being taken with (I am using the F12 steam overlay method). I know it tags maps on images you upload from TF2 using the screenshot tool, but maybe that's a TF2-only thing. Specifically, it shows up in the LOCATION field in your Steam screenshots... and it works even on custom maps. Re: [hlds_linux] Mandatory CS:S, DoD:S, and HL2:DM updates released
Hello, I've seen some comments in the h2ldm steam group about the game being extremely laggy on servers that are high latent to the player. I've just witnessed this myself playing on a server in Australia (I'm in Canada) that's normally pretty playable for me with a 200 ms ping (as reported by status). What changed? foo On Tue, Jun 25, 2013 at 4:49 PM, Eric Smith er...@valvesoftware.com wrote: Half-Life 2 should be fixed now. -Eric -Original Message- From: hlds_linux-boun...@list.valvesoftware.com [mailto: hlds_linux-boun...@list.valvesoftware.com] On Behalf Of N-Gon Sent: Tuesday, June 25, 2013 3:39 PM To: Half-Life dedicated Linux server mailing list Subject: Re: [hlds_linux] Mandatory CS:S, DoD:S, and HL2:DM updates released How about the random Half-Life 2 update? [hlds_linux] VAC and hl2dm
Hello! Today I observed a player connected and playing in a HL2DM server with VAC enabled, but the player is listed on http://www.vacbanned.com/ as being banned. This has me wondering if VAC is really supported in HL2DM? I sort of remember hearing that VAC wasn't really supported by hl2dm but it's a very vague recollection.
