Yeah, I can't get DMC either. (I also tried -beta beta and -beta
steampipe; no such luck.)

Prodding the Steam servers with a stick, it seems only HL1, CS, CZ,
DoD and TFC are part of app 90. No luck with DMC, Ricochet and Op4.

I've tried several times in several directories, making sure to validate
aand...nothing. The same thing happens with TFC, I should point out.

TFC seems fine on my end. (You did put tfc as the mod's name and not
tf, right? Also, SteamCMD becomes uncooperative if you list a mod it
doesn't know, so try stripping out dmc, ricochet and gearbox from your
app_set_config line.)

Forgot to flip a switch seems plausible.

2013-04-01 Thread edman747
Hello, I would like to install the half-life: opposing force hlds in
Linux.I previously installed hlds
./steamcmd.sh +logon anonymous +force_install_dir .. +app_update 90
validate +quit

~hlds - game server files cstrike, valve
 ~hlds/steamcmd - steamcmd files

cd hlds/steamcmd
 ./steamcmd.sh +logon anonymous +force_install_dir .. +app_set_config 90
mod gearbox +app_update 90 validate +quit
this does not install anything new.

Should I fallback to the hldsupdatetool?
cd ../../install
./steam -command update -game gearbox -dir ../hlds

We have now converted Team Fortress Classic to the new SteamPipe
beta, you can get a dedicated install for it by using the following
command line:
steamcmd +logon anonymous +force_install_dir ..\hlds +app_set_config
90 mod tfc +app_update 90 +quit

Note the +app_set_config 90 mod tfc command, this is opting that
install into getting the bits for tfc. Future updates for other
dedicated servers will add more options to this list, and you will be
able to install multiple mods to the same folder if you wish. To
install multiple games in the same folder just separate the mod name
by a comma. For example, to install both TFC and CZ use the following:
 +app_set_config 90 mod czero,tfc

in case people are interested.

I suppose DMC servers can be installed in the same way as you point out?
