Re: [hlds_linux] Team Fortress Classic beta released (plus dmc, ricochet and opfor)
Hello, I would like to install the half-life: opposing force hlds in Linux.I previously installed hlds ./steamcmd.sh +logon anonymous +force_install_dir .. +app_update 90 validate +quit ~hlds - game server files cstrike, valve ~hlds/steamcmd - steamcmd files cd hlds/steamcmd ./steamcmd.sh +logon anonymous +force_install_dir .. +app_set_config 90 mod gearbox +app_update 90 validate +quit this does not install anything new. Should I fallback to the hldsupdatetool? cd ../../install ./steam -command update -game gearbox -dir ../hlds On Mon, Apr 1, 2013 at 3:22 AM, Mart-Jan Reeuwijk mreeu...@yahoo.comwrote: Quote from Alfred Reynolds: I've also added Deathmatch Classic, Ricochet and Opposing Force to the beta, the mod keys are: Deathmatch Classic - dmc Ricochet - ricochet Half-Life: Opposing force - gearbox This command line will grab all 3: steamcmd +logon anonymous +force_install_dir ..\hlds +app_set_config 90 mod dmc, ricochet, gearbox +app_update 90 +quit /quote Those don't work? Re: [hlds_linux] Team Fortress Classic beta released (plus dmc, ricochet and opfor)
I'm trying to set up a DMC server, so I make sure I set app_set_config to `dmc`, but on checking the install directory, there is no `dmc` directory. DMC just hasn't downloaded for whatever reason. I've tried several times in several directories, making sure to validate aand...nothing. The same thing happens with TFC, I should point out. So no idea what gives. Forget to flip a switch upstream, maybe? Deathmatch Classic, Richochet, Blue Shift + Opposing Force are all out too, in case people are interested. I suppose DMC servers can be installed in the same way as you point out?
