What binary is the preferred one for modern Intel hardware these days? Is
it i486 or i686? Since you have now compiled these binaries with newer gcc,
are there any plans to do 64bit binaries in the future?

Dude, it got updated yesterday/today depending on where you live.
The client isbackwards compatible but when restarting steam it should 
get the new update for CS 1.6 on the client side.
Some users have reported problems that they do not get the update but 
have to remove the local files before being ableto

receiving them.

You should update your servers ASAP
You need to update amxmodx as well to 1.8.2-h60+

What impact will this have on Opposing Force servers? And will it fix 
any of the OP4 crashing problems, or is that specific to the OP4 code 
itself? I get segfaults on a regular basis and I have yet to identify 
any specific map or hardware or OS environment that causes it. I rather 
suspect the map I'm running, but it crashes three times a week with the 
windows server, and three times a day with the linux binaries.

It looks like you have a 3rd party plugin (or haven't updated fully), the 
correct binary is cstrike/dlls/cs.so . Make sure you have updated your 3rd 
party plugins, most WILL need an update (and most have updates available).

It looks like you have a 3rd party plugin (or haven't updated fully), 
the correct binary is cstrike/dlls/cs.so . Make sure you have updated 
your 3rd party plugins, most WILL need an update (and most have updates 
available).

 fully), the correct binary is cstrike/dlls/cs.so . Make sure you have

GPU and its vsync setting (which you may have forcefully turned off via some 
driver control, so don't do that).

  fully), the correct binary is cstrike/dlls/cs.so . Make sure you have
  updated your 3rd party plugins, most WILL need an update (and most have

I don't see a good reason to force a limit right now, if you want a 1000fps 
server and the bugs that come from that, then fine We will not officially 
support anything above 100fps however.

Only bug I am aware of on Linux running a 1000fps server with pingboost 3 and 
sys_ticrate 1 is that it speeds up the gameplay animation. Dunno yet if its 
been fixed. Havnt tried it.

   It looks like you have a 3rd party plugin (or haven't updated
   fully), the correct binary is cstrike/dlls/cs.so . Make sure you have
   updated your 3rd party plugins, most WILL need an update (and most have

Now all I see in the ingame server browser are some nonsteam/cracked/whatever 
servers with random old protocols and completely wrong player counts, I assume 
the rest will appear when they update, but why do you let these show up through 
your master servers?

De-listing these jokers is a work in progress, the recent release has some 
changes to make their lives harder and I will be turning the crank again.
