Dear Colleagues, I'm writing to publicize Horn Studio Graduate Assistantships and Tuition Waivers for Hornists at Illinois State University. Two graduate assistants are graduating and we would like to hire at least 2 new graduate assistants. Please post and/or share this announcement with those who may be interested. Stipend is $7,200. per year plus a full Tuition Waiver worth $9,041. per year for non-residents. The assistantship is a renewable award worth up to $16,241. per year for non-residents. Duties include performing in the Graduate Brass Quintet or Graduate Wind Quintet and may include instruction of studio overload, assisting with Horn Choir, Master Class and coaching chamber ensembles. Other duties are based upon qualifications and interests. Additional performance opportunities may be available in several regional orchestras. The Horn Studio at Illinois State University Current enrollment is 28 students. All students receive 1 hr. lessons and meet horn class/horn choir twice per week. The Illinois State University Horn Choir performs on campus several times each semester. [Hornlist] Holiday Horn Music for Multiple Horns
Hi folks, Hope this finds you all well. I'm writing to ask for suggestions for Holiday Horn Choir Music for 8 horns or larger. The Illinois State Horn Choir performs an annual Holiday Tour of Campus offices and retirement communities and we have a good set of pieces. However, most are not for 8 horns or more and we have outgrown our current library. We currently have 23 in studio and 28 in horn choir and really need some new arrangements of Christmas, Channuka and Kwanza pieces for multiple horns.
