According to Cornucopia (A publication of the New England Horn Society) Paul
Mansur, long-time editor of The Horn Call and contributor here, has died. I
may have missed the announcement if it was mentioned here.

Even if you live in the midwest, you can receive the newletter, and I highly
recommend it. Marilyn Bone Kloss has been producing it for many years, and
deserves many, many thanks for all her time! If you are on this list you
should definitely be able to get the pdf by e-mail, which saves postage.

There is just one way to get along with the billions of
people on earth now:

Follow the advice of His Holiness the Dalai Lama:

NO VIOLENCE even you have to sacrifice yourself. The truth
will speak for itself, even it might take a while or longer.
Do never look down upon other people. Share what you have
with others who need it. Do never believe your faith be the
only right one. Never even think your race being superior to
any other race. We are all born naked and we all are mortal.
Never condemn nobody. If you get in trouble, solve the
problem (situation) with your smile.

All this violence terrorism in the world is a result of
selfishness, exclusivity elitarian believe of oneself or
ones group, false (religious and/or political) promises of
hail in paradise by leaders of any
kind/colour/faith/wealth/language/age/reputation/gender

Deepest condolences to you in regard the terror attack in
London. From the news reports here, it seems clear that
London emergency services responded in an outstanding
manner.

2005-07-07 Thread Jonathan West
Hi Bill

Speaking as a UK-based member of the list, thank you very much for the
thoughts condolences. I'm not based in London, but several of my friends
and family are. Fortunately, all my family are OK. I've yet to hear from
some friends, but the mobile phone network in London is apparently giving
priority to calls for the emergency services, so all I can do at this stage
is wait and hope.

Looking at the TV news, it seems like the emergency services are doing an
absolutely magnificent job rescuing survivors and treating the wounded.

I'm not going to make any political comment on the attack - I think this is
not the time place for it.

Regards
Jonathan West
