And there was a preview announce this week at SHARE for "OMEGAMON XE for
z/VM and Linux", enabling the integration of virtual machine performance
data from VM with the data coming from a zLinux guest. So if zLinux is in
your future.

Here's your chance to bat for the product of your choice. Assuming Money no
object (well, within reason), what performance monitoring tool would you
install to concentrate on DASD, CHANNEL UTIL, XRC
(Primary/secondary/tertiary), RAID and all things I/O flavoured?

RMF
SMF
My own code

When that isn't enough, I would look at RMF Magic (IntelliMagic.nl). Some
very useful sizing features also available.

Tivoli OMEGAMON XE for Storage on z/OS given you already have OMEGAMON
products would seem a reasonable bet. Certainly covers all the areas
you mention and can be used for your Windoze, AIX, and LINUX environments
where appropriate.

I'm not telling, I'm asking.

Here's your chance to bat for the product of your choice. Assuming Money no

We currently have MXG (and obv RMF) and Omegamon.

Anything considered.
