testcase.software.ibm.com anonymous FTP failing with Login incorrect.
Hi, I opened a Service Request Help Desk query and an IBMLink Help Desk feedback but no sign that either is going to get this resolved. Just to reality check is anyone else having difficulty sending documentation to testcase.software.ibm.com ? This is using PUTDOC or manual FTP and it pretty clearly looks like someone has mucked up the anonymous FTP that is normally accepted at testcase. 220-business or for purposes authorized by IBM management. 220- 220-Use is subject to audit at any time by IBM management. 220- 220-Before using this service for technical support purposes, refer 220-to the terms of use for Exchanging Diagnostic Data with IBM 220-(see http://www.ibm.com/de/support/ecurep/service.html). 220- 220 testcase-yellow secure FTP server ready. Sam, did you try to enter a password? As far as I know the testcase ftp server requires a password, when using ftp command line, even you are logging in as anonymous. If it does not work, try to log in via the http interface via https://testcase.boulder.ibm.com There you do not need to enter a password. Jm2C. I thought tht testcase was done away with. It's an MVS 0C1 abend code. I don't know if this is the root cause, but there were some new libraries in z/OS 1.6 that had to be added to the LPA and LNKLST and RACF program control also had to be set up. The libraries were: SEUVLPA (LPA list) SEUVLINK (LNKLST) SIEALNKE (LNKLST) SIEALNKE has to be program controlled. The details should be in the migration manual. When I ftp to my new zos 16 system i get: BPXP018I THREAD 0D416C61, IN PROCESS 83951665, ENDED 603 WITHOUT BEING UNDUBBED WITH COMPLETION CODE 940C1000, AND REASON CODE 0001. I am trying to look the code, i came up with : 00C1 JRNoUserExit A pthread_quiesce (BPX1PTQ) service FREEZE_EXIT request cannot complete because no user exit has been registered with the oe_env_np (BPX1ENV) service. Action: Use the oe_env_np (BPX1ENV) service, function code of Freeze_Exit to register a user exit, before using the pthread_quiesce service with a quiesce type of FREEZE_EXIT. Am i warm? Nope - frozen. That's a completion code, aka Abend code, and not a UNIX errno JR. Though surprising, it seems that your FTP server got a S0C1 abend.
