Re: CL Supersession V21
In member KLSINNAM of file RLSCMDS add the following: NAM SET PASSWORD= NAM SET VDPADMIN:Y NAM SET SSFLAG:Y where is the userid of the administrator. You specify the userid as the password so he verifies against your security system. I think you have to recycle CLSS. CL Supersession V21
Hello, We have requirement to update inactive session timeout for Prod CICS region in CL SS, Is it possible to update dynamically without bouncing CL SS, As none has Admin access not sure if we have default admin IDs in CL SS,like something similar to TPX Admin IDs(ie TPXADMIN,STXADMIN ) . Is there a way to update a specific user id as Admin in CL SS? As the guide says someone with Admin Authority has to grant access!! Re: Is there a CL/SuperSession (CLSS) user's group?
We transitioned from Ibm Session Manager to CL/SUPERSESSION. Wasn’t straightforward there are many parameters to touch i.e. user access, user modifications to be allowed and many others. Ask the group here we might help a bit. On Thu, Oct 21, 2021 at 9:08 AM Mark Regan wrote: > Is there a CL/SuperSession (CLSS) user group? Mark, Most of the CL/Supersession documentation appears to be available online. Search "IBM CL/Supersession V3". Migration Netview Access to CL/Supersession
Dear list: I'd like to know if someone have migrated the Session Manager from Netview Access to CL/Supersession. We are starting to do it and I could not find if there is a process to migrate in order to keep the groups defined in RACF for Access to be used in CL/Supersession. The password might be sent in the clear - but that is an SNA SLU (the TN3270 LU for the terminal session) to PLU (CL/Supersession) session and as such would require looking into methods for encrypting SNA sessions in the Comm Server manuals. I'm pretty sure it's not flowing over IP if TN3270 and Supersession are on the same system. If you're going between systems it might be Enterprise Extender? Which flows over IP and I'd guess Communication Server manuals would tell you how to encrypt that as well. -- For IBM-MAIN subscribe / signoff / archive access instructions, send email to lists...@listserv.ua.edu with the message: INFO IBM-MAIN

CL/ / Supersession
A few months ago I was asked/assigned a take to convert from NVAS to CL/Supersession 2.1 since NVAS is EOL. After a couple days and some discussions, we found out that CLSS 2.1 did not support TCPIP Secure Sockets. I put in an RFE #141211 and I just looked and its under development. Now as to how long The development is going to take and what the PMR is going to be I just don't know at this Time. Re: [EXTERNAL] CL/SuperSession 2.1
This might as well be a new installation. We only use NVAS, in this case, as a multi-session manager, and I can to the auto-signon work. There are just A lot of sessions that have to be handled. Re: Cl/Supersession and CA-Top Secret
Responded offline. UGH.. the Top Secret section of the CL Supersession manual.. is just needlessly complicated!! No wonder there are problems. I am going to lay down the gauntlet. Is anyone running Top Secret 4.2? It has only been out of service for what ... 26 or 27 years!??!? It is a bit ridiculous. It is far easier to just follow the RACF section and just translate to Top Secret. Cl/Supersession and CA-Top Secret
Listers: I am installing CL/Supersession for the first time (currently we are IBM Session Manager). I am having difficulty understanding how to use dynamic application lists with Top Secret security. The documentation is extremely lacking in clarity on how to code the Top Secret statements. I have rtfm’ed heavily but gotten nowhere.
