Thanks guys for your help. I made the GCS config file change and printer are working now. Now back to that pesky DB2 problem. Steve G.
Re: VM 5.2 GCS problem (I think)
I think I found it. You have to do a "GROUP" command, etc. At least that's what I'm trying at the moment. Re: VM 5.2 GCS problem (I think)
I've got my own simple exec to help me buidling GCS, that starts with GCS ASSEMBLE instead of GCS CONFIG. So I forgot a bit. I think there was a CONFIG EXEC that displayed a panel. Anyhow, you start with (in MAINT) VMFSETUP ZVM GCS then have a look at the E- or F- disk I think the panel creates a GCS CONFIG, copies that into GCS ASSEMBLE and assembles it. As a final step you'll need to rebuild the GCS segment witj VMFBLD PPF ZVM GCS GCTLOAD (ALL Kris, IBM Belgium, VM customer support Steve Gentry <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent by: The IBM z/VM Operating System 2006-05-28 17:38 Please respond to The IBM z/VM Operating System To IBMVM@LISTSERV.UARK.EDU cc Subject Re: VM 5.2 GCS problem (I think) Where is the GCS config file?
