Niceone of the older directors stopped in at work today and
started talking about how he and his wife bought a 5th wheel camper to
get away from it all and how disappointed they are that all the
campgrounds are so crowded and noisy.

I told him he needed an acreage.

I pull in my driveway and that's my holiday vacation spot every
evening and every weekend. We don't often get away for vacation
because we get away for one every evening.

It's a nice way to live.

Thanks for the reminder of rainbows Janice.

wow no kiddin. My nephew from georgia came over one day while on his
way to the beach. We were out looking at the horses and all of a
sudden he cocked his head to one side and said do you realize you
can't even hear cars from here?? and I realized, remembered, some
people live where they hear a constant sound of traffic...

Yes Wanda~

That is how Sally and I live now.always peaceful at home, back in
the woods. Its a little off road driving to get to our place, but it
is very special, peaceful and quiet, we never hear cars, airplanes,
other peoples voices...birds, horses, dogs, chickens and sheep, yes.

When we want a quick mini vaca. we go to the other side of our lovely
island and go to world class resorts for a couple of nights.thats
all we ever really want, as after 2 nights we miss our quiet
homestead.

We just got a bigger trailer, and we will start camping with our
horses this coming fall.we have taken a lot of day trips, or ride
to a friends house 10 miles or so away and spend the night and ride
back the next day, but now we get to camp, so we are pretty excited
about that..

Yes, those of us who live on an acre or better and not on a main road, plus
don't have to board our horses out at a stable, need to stop and be grateful
every day for what we have. I can't hear many cars but I am on a dirt road
also. We have coyotes howl and horses whinny plus some confused
chickens/roosters out our way and a rattle snake or two now and again. We are
country.
