[fsug-tvm] Samba Share in 10.04
Hello all I got a unique issue, samba share in 10.04 is pretty easy when compared to 9.10 i had successfully configured samba for both the OS in couple of Machine.. Recently i had switched my office PC to 10.04 from 9.10 and i messed up samba share.don't know what to do now. Hello all I installed Nautilus Svn , its works perfect and all my needs are satisfied..but when i try to access any folder which got svn files ie nautilusSvn,it take some to load .Once i closed this folder it will again happens again when ever i access these folders... As far my findings goes ,i think nautilusSvn is only getting started when those folders are accessed ,Is there any way that i can load/ start nautilusSvn on System Start up Or I this because of another issue?? Hello I got a similar situation for our LBP 2900 printer(Ubuntu 9.10)..After some extensive googling and some guts instinct i installed some driver and printer got detected and driver got instaleed..But its not printing ,shows only processing and continues to shows that only..I had never tried it in 10.04..i think any solution to Ershad's problem wl be helpful to me also... Hello Meeting was fixed at 4:00 PM,decided to reach there before everyone come cause its my first FSUG Meet. That didn't happened i reached there at 4:15.and for my surprise only 2 peoples were there(Sooraj kenoth and Arun Eapen),later got info that as its time of exams most of them stayed back for studies(all the best guys,do good in exam ) Ok... coming back to the Meeting details. We decided to start the meeting around 4:30.. Sooraj kick started the meeting by giving a little introduction about the FSUG..He expalained us about how the ubuntu release party was planned,organized and conducted.He also explained us about the troubles he had faced for making T-shirt ready. Naveen(guess his name is right) joined us and he explained us about Drupal and its features.That had taken meeting to another level.He started with giving introuduction about CMS and why drupal is rated at the top..later he shown us how to install drupal via cPanel by creating a sub domain under zyxware...session lasted for around 30-45 minutes and its was quite useful. Officially we decided to wind up the meeting close to 5:50, cause Arun Eapan got an appointment somewhere else. but stayed back for little longer and discussed some matters with sooraj,wonderful guy with lots of ideas about free world. From sooraj i got info about one guy,Vipin Mathew.He compiled some debian packages that are very useful for ubuntu pC's wrkng without any net connection.for me that was big relief cause i was searching for this packages for one of friend.Its a superb package around 90MB includes every necessary thing for a Normal Ubuntu PC.and good thing is all the packages can be installed with one sudo command...Hats off to him. [fsug-tvm] Wubi Installer repeatedly failing to deliver wht it should do
Hello all Ever since Ubuntu 10.04 is officially launced in Trivandrum am trying to install it on my windows (vista ultimate) machine via Wubi..First i got it wrong by downloading alternate version..later found that alternate version can't be installed via wubi,so i downloaded ubuntu-10.04 desktop version.Things went smooth in installation and everything installed well.But when booted after installation its showing initframs error.. But i can't let it go that way,so i convinced my friend about ubuntus latest features and got permission to install through wubi in his new DELL studio(windows 7) machine..But got the same result tooo Any ubuntuians faced this issue??
