Hey! Sirtaj Singh Kang is a developer of KDE, who's done extensive work using a programming language called Python. (www.python.org, www.kde.org, www.sirtaj.net) As mentioned before, PyQT or PyGTK are good alternatives too, as is Java. But, for developing an application rapidly, the latter isnt a good option unless you already know it. (Which is doubtful, since you're doing stuff on VB as of now..). www.gtk.org, www.trolltech.com have tons of links and tutorials. Hi all, Currently we are using Squid and it does not allow FTP clients to connect through. Could some one suggest Linux RH 7.3 based HTTP/FTP Proxy server which would allow the FTP clients like gftp/cuteFTP to upload/download data through it. The reason for this is taht when a question is asked, the focus of the talk/presenation shifts away from the talk/presenation to the questions and subsequent questions. Thus, I have two suggestions for the monthly meets. 1. Questions/doubts etc. should be reserved till the talk/presenation is over. I understand this would not be easy to implement and so I suggest that, 1.1 We have a moderator to moderate the talk/presenation and keep the free from interruptions/or to bring the discussion back to the talk/presenation. 2. All members should do a google search on the topics to be discussed in the meet before coming to the meet. Just a simple google search as soon as the agenda of the meet is declared.
