Have a look in your /home/username/.wine/drive_c/Program Files/Winzip/.

This path may be a bit off-mark, but looking in .wine will certainly help.

when you find the winzip.exe, run it using
$ wine ./winzip.exe

i'd suggest try directly the actual application rather than installing and
testing other applications. wine doesn't support ALL windows applications.
there's a list maintained here

http://appdb.winehq.org/

also, with every new version of wine the application compatibility
changes. running exe's through wine in a production environment may not be
a good idea though

Even Aria has this. You can control the speed with which download can

your download to hog all your bandwidth.

[ilugd] A idea can change our Life..... --Important

2005-04-27 Thread Gaurav Mishra
Hi all,
I have some Ideas , that i think could be useful to Lug and
more Importantly people of LUG , Raj and Vivek were discussing about the
Certification Method or Recruituing the people to companies through the
LUG, and I seriously think this is a very good idea, We could really make people
interested in meeting.
When i say to someone about the LUG or meeting , a common
windows user or Layman who just used linux for sake of trying, say`s
what will happen at LUG meeting. if u tell him about the talk he will
say are yaar net pe saab milta hai. We should give them strong
reason to come to LUG and Supprt Linux. And Job is the Golden Word for a Student.
Why really we are not having the support from the guys who
are most experimenting, the college students. Because in today
scenario, It is really difficult to get his own living. And from my
past experience i was not fully able to convince them to bet their
future on open source.
We do need some more ways of getting the funds rather than selling
tshirts or voluntary contributionthat we do ,Rather we can take the funds from
the companies we give ppl for their work ,
Students are not going to be a active participant
only they hate microsoft , we need to give them reason, a strong
one...
Please Fetch out more Ideas as this is the Proposal ( I
think the Simple Members could also bring proposals) in the Next
Meeting.

 Your`s Sincerely
  Gaurav Mishra

Package: gaim
Vulnerability : denial of service
Problem-Type : remote
Debian-specific: no
CVE ID : CAN-2005-0472

It has been discovered that certain malformed SNAC packets sent by
other AIM or ICQ users can trigger an infinite loop in Gaim, a
multi-protocol instant messaging client, and hence lead to a denial of
service of the client.

Two more denial of service conditions have been discovered in newer
versions of Gaim which are fixed in the package in sid but are not
present in the package in woody.

For the stable distribution (woody) this problem has been fixed in
version 0.58-2.5.

For the unstable distribution (sid) these problems have been fixed in
version 1.1.3-1.

We recommend that you upgrade your gaim packages.

2005-04-27 Thread santosh dubey
Dear Mishra,

Your idea may be good but i am not agree with it.
If finance is a problem then we can donate as a LUG
member with best of our capability and still there are
other many ways.
But starting a business in any way does not seems
right. In this way, LUG will reflect as a JOB
CONSULTANT and believe me the new people who will
come, will target LUG for JOB only.
we may have ad. etc of companies to generate funds as
google etc. are doing.
This is my person view and don't take it in any other
way.

have a nice day.

 Hi all,
I have some Ideas , that i think could be useful
 to Lug and
more Importantly people of LUG , Raj and Vivek were
 discussing about the
Certification Method or Recruituing the people to
 companies through the
LUG, and I seriously think this is a very good idea,
 We could really make people
 interested in meeting.
When i say to someone about the LUG or
 meeting , a common
windows user or Layman who just used linux for sake
 of trying, say`s
what will happen at LUG meeting. if u tell him about
 the talk he will
say are yaar net pe saab milta hai. We should
 give them strong
reason to come to LUG and Supprt Linux. And Job is
the Golden Word for a Student.
Why really we are not having the support
 from the guys who
are most experimenting, the college students.
 Because in today
scenario, It is really difficult to get his own
 living. And from my
past experience i was not fully able to convince
 them to bet their
 future on open source.
We do need some more ways of getting the
 funds rather than selling
tshirts or voluntary contributionthat we do ,Rather
we can take the funds from
the companies we give ppl for their work ,
Students are not going to be a
 active participant
only they hate microsoft , we need to give them
 reason, a strong
 one...
Please Fetch out more Ideas as this is
 the Proposal ( I
think the Simple Members could also bring proposals)
 in the Next
 Meeting.

 Your`s Sincerely

Ur cuurect directory i.e. data should be in $PATH. or
