Re: [ilugd] console based pdf reader
in infinite wisdom Manish Kathuria spoke thus on 12/28/05 13:08: You can use mc to read pdfs. I really doubt that it will work since PDF format is meant for GUI based viewing. You will not be able to view it in text mode. The program mc will only try to open the document through a PDF reader (xpdf, acroread, evince, etc.) and will fail to do so since there is no graphical display. No, it works - mc has a pdf viewer, however you will not be able to see the graphics in the pdfs. Start mc and then move your cursor to the file you want to view. Click on F9 (which will bring down the pulldown menu). Move to 'FileView File' . That will open up the pdf file in the mc itself. -- _.-, raj shekhar .--' '-._ http://rajshekhar.net _/`- _ '. http://rajshekhar.net/blog ''._`.. \ ` \; WE APOLOGIZE FOR THE INCONVENIENCE ;_\-- God's Last Message to his Creation ___ ilugd mailinglist -- ilugd@lists.linux-delhi.org http://frodo.hserus.net/mailman/listinfo/ilugd Archives at: http://news.gmane.org/gmane.user-groups.linux.delhi http://www.mail-archive.com/ilugd@lists.linux-delhi.org/

So i need to find out what flag is needed to obtain a good quality montaged image. One way is to use the size of the largest image in your collection as an argument to the -geometry option of montage, which allows you to specify the tile and border size. Thus, if your largest image is 800x600 (you can get this info with the ImageMagick command 'identify'), and you want a border of 0 pixels, do: montage /dir/*.jpg -adjoin -geometry '800x600+0+0' -tile 2x3 dina.jpg The '' in the geometry specification tells montage not to shrink any images. Of course, this will work for printing on to an A4 sized paper only if your images can be printed 2x3 at their normal size. Dear Sir, I had checked the link but I can't understand how that routes will burst my speed using split options my 50% network will have only 512 kbps at same time and other 50% are same also load balancing will give only standby line of 512 kbps will you please explain how can I get 1 mbps output? Conceptually you will have to use a round robin approach where net requests will be sent out on the 2 links alternatively. This will certainly help your browsing but will do diddly squat for things like ftp unless your ISP supports bonding, which i am guessing is a fat chance of happening. You may also want to read up on traffic shaping to further tune your links. You may want to read this http://www.ssi.bg/~ja/nano.txt , i know its a couple of years old but it is still relevant and kind of simple enough for someone new to routing. For a simple load balancing you dont even have to do much, simple increase the metric of one link and that should do it, but as i understand you want to combine the links so you should do as mentioned above. You can also search on google, it brings up some interesting reading. cheers. -BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE- Version: GnuPG v1.4.2 (MingW32) Comment: Using GnuPG with Thunderbird - http://enigmail.mozdev.org iD8DBQFDs27vbR7mO5apBYARAjj1AJ4rKCU6ucutqlqaSs9Lv+ynB6S6JwCfVALw tc4bmi0t/0BpLaclKybmgv0= =GJQw -END PGP SIGNATURE- ___ ilugd mailinglist -- ilugd@lists.linux-delhi.org http://frodo.hserus.net/mailman/listinfo/ilugd Archives at: http://news.gmane.org/gmane.user-groups.linux.delhi http://www.mail-archive.com/ilugd@lists.linux-delhi.org/
