If you don't mind using proprietary drivers, some of which have had unfixed root exploits and put your computer at risk for years, then nV definitely plays better with Linux. On the other hand, if you want to show support for and reward companies who make their card APIs available to the FOSS community to develop drivers with, ATI is the right choice. Any clues on how these compare on mobiles? Particularly Openmoko and Android? Would the C/C++ thingy be a negative mark for Openmoko? So far, Android only provides a java-like managed environment to developers which can be a put off for many people because of app size/performance related issues and more importantly, it'll take some time before the complete functionality is available in this environment as compared to the interfaces available to native programmers. -Shantz -- I didn't do it, nobody saw me do it, U can't prove anything - Bart Simpson http://blog.shantanugoel.com http://tech.shantanugoel.com ___ ilugd mailinglist -- ilugd@lists.linux-delhi.org http://frodo.hserus.net/mailman/listinfo/ilugd Archives at: http://news.gmane.org/gmane.user-groups.linux.delhi http://www.mail-archive.com/ilugd@lists.linux-delhi.org/
