[efloraofindia:195396] Re: Hypericum

2014-07-31 Thread D.S Rawat
Garg Ji
I have added list of Indian species of Hypericum as mentioned in Flora of
India vol-3.
Names of species in other web resources as mentioned on the genus page
indicate that H. scabrum is not mentioned in Flora of India, H. napaulense
is synonym of H. elodeoides and H. patulum is neither in Flora of India nor
in The Plant List 2013.

[efloraofindia:195383] Re: 25062014GS1 Woody climber for ID from Chakrata-GSJUN06

2014-07-31 Thread surajitkoley
Good morning Sir

For the past few days I kept watching on leaves of * Cayratia trifolia* and
the leaflets are very variable indeed, from rounded to cuneate base and
acute to obtuse or even rounded apex. But, didn't find exact match.

One match found in
http://www.discoverlife.org/mp/20q?search=Parthenocissus+henryana, but the
plant should have 5 leaflets
.
Based on this, far-fetched imagination it may sound, can it be
*Parthenocissus semicordata* (Wallich) Planch.
 (*V. himalayana* Brand.)?

Thank you

Regards

2014-07-31 Thread 'Wojciech Adamowski' via efloraofindia
It is apparently Impatiens from section Oppositifoliae.
It could be I. chinensis, but I don't see shape of stem - in I. chinensis it
should be quadrangular.
As the specimen comes from southern India, best to ask Dr. Bhaskar.
