I am checking to see how many districts have equipment they need recycled
this summer. I currently don't have pricing, but I don't anticipate much
change from the $5/monitor price, and everything else is free pricing. I
will need to know how many pallets of equipment you have to recycle. Once I

have this information I will work on the logistics of the equipment
collection. Please let me know as soon as you can if you have equipment to

be recycled.

Thanks.

2009-09-28 Thread Amy Walter
After reading the several responses today, I am so very thankful that I
have had one of my best testing periods ever. (Plus very few sick kids to
give make-up tests to!!) No problems were reported on the science test
other than a longer than usual pause between the two parts.

Has anyone who has tested MAP this fall had bad experience with the

beginning last week. Not sure if it's something locally so I thought
I'd check. We were running fine until then.

Happy Friday All. Ok, so I have a student that has created a Roller
Coaster on http://www.freerider2.org for a project to explain forces and
gravity etc. (Kinda creative actually) Well We can't get to that site here
at school. I have tried getting to it from a computer that sits outside of our
firewall with no success. We use a SonicWall and I have freerider in the
allowed domains, and I have checked to see that the IP is not being blocked by
the firewall. I used NSlookup to find the IP for the site (75.127.118.212) and
cross-checked with the blocked Ip ranges and still no luck. The site
doesn't show up as blocked (No blocked message it just does't load) What
I need to know is can you get to the site, and any ideas on how I can get this
site open.

So . . . If I could pimp out my science rooms (HS/MS and even elementary type
things) . . .

What's everyone using for any science computer type probes (microscopes,
measuring equipment), etc.? Certain brand(s)--platform specific/cross platform?
Success stories in your schools? Just something thought provoking for the end
of the day.
Thanks!

can't afford the four hours on the road today to get there (plus with the
weather/roads being questionable) Thanks so much for this options of still

To those of you that received palms and need eWalk training on December 17th
here is how you can participate without being there:

HOWEVER, IT IS MORE IMPORTANT IF YOU CAN BE THERE IN PERSON

To View via Polycom or other H.323 device:

If you have problems dialing the above number:
 * Dial 207.28.96.160
 * Press the Far camera control button on your remote
 * Use the camera 'Pan up/down' buttons to find the 'Info-Tech' room
 * Use the camera 'Pan Right' button to enter the room.

If you don't have access to a Polycom you can use an Internet connected
computer with a web browser.
 * Enter 'http://207.28.96.160' URL in your web browser
 * Enter your full name in the 'Sign in Name' box
 * Enter 4636 in the Conference ID field
 * Select the QuickTime option
 * Click Stream this Conference button.

Will see some of you tomorrow, weather permitting of course. :)

Hi,

Does anyone have a company that provides access control (door entry via
proximity card or mag stripe) solutions at your district that you would
recommend? We are in the process of looking into options for our schools and
would like to start with some reputable companies. Thanks!

Re: [info-tech] several questions

2006-11-02 Thread Amy Walter
I just purchased a mobile lab for our middle school this year. My only disappointment so far has been during the MISIC MAP test. NWEA does not recommend that their test be given on a wireless lab. (I learned that after I started thewhole process!)The problems occured when a student spent several minutes reading a passage or solving a math problem- the system would time-out. The testing program is so sensitive that I would have to start the program all over, enter the password, pick the test and studet again. HOWEVER- Other districts have little to no problem giving this test. I purchased an hp cart, 25 laptaps, an hp color printer, and two Linksys access points.AmyPaul Heyer [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: With our favorable
