I would agree with what has been said. We have 4 arrays set up and have had no problem with any of them. I take that back I had one that required a software update because it kept resetting itself every 12 minutes or so. re: [info-tech] Wireless mobie lab
We have had 2 arays installed for 2 years and added another 2 this year. The only problem we encountered is 1 of the 2 new installs was rebooting itself at times. I called tech support who connected remotely and updated the software. I even recieved a follow up email from the tech the next day asking if things are working correctly which doesnt happen very often. The last 2 units came with a choice on power options, one being a 110 outlet close to the installation and the second is power over gigabit. I did not have an outlet close to the one of those installations so it is running the power over gigabit which works great. Everything is done through the state's web portal, which is the same portal for parents and administrators. Once your account is created, you contact the state and they finish the setup. You can add alerts for the just the district, or break it down by school building. So, if you only had an issue at one building, you can let just those people signed up for those alerts know. To create a notification, you login, create alert and verify it. On my tests, only to a few contacts, the messages appear in under a minute. Therefore, I am throwing out the offer that if there is a group interested in how to do this/how this all works (kind of like a JMC users group), I am willing to host a session through it not only on the set up/ administrative side but also via the gradebook/entry side for teachers. Mornings work best (unitl around 1:00), so I don't have to get a sub for my classes. If you're interested, let me know and we can put together a date. Office personnel and/or teachers are welcomed to attend to see how it all works. I'll even provide testimony from those who have been using at our elementaries and how much they like it. (Hand picked, of course). ;-) --- [This E-mail scanned for viruses by the algona.k12.ia.us server.] --- [This E-mail scanned for viruses by Declude Virus on the server aea8.k12.ia.us] - Archived messages from this list can be found at: http://www.mail-archive.com/info-tech@aea8.k12.ia.us/ - --- [This E-mail scanned for viruses by Declude Virus on the server aea8.k12.ia.us] - Archived messages from this list can be found at: http://www.mail-archive.com/info-tech@aea8.k12.ia.us/ -

What company do you use for computer recycling? Will they pick up from private individuals? I need to get my basement cleaned out and know a few other people that are wondering what to do with their old computer. Titonka k -8 building is also moving from IMC to JMC this school year so anything posted would be appreciated. I recall some conversations on the list-serve regarding this topic. We recently created and adopted a standards and benchmarks report card that the Parents/Staff really like. Any suggestions on where to start and/or would anyone be willing to help us get started? The staff has NO experience with JMC at this point. Bill, You can take a look at this article and see if it helps. Not sure this will help since you have already tried to reload with no success. http://kb.iu.edu/data/ajln.html?cust=919978.07404.30 Paul Heyer Computer Tech Titonka - Original Message - From: "Bill Day" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: Sent: Tuesday, May 17, 2005 3:16 PM Subject: [info-tech] help with microsoft word we use Microsoft office 2000.
