Re: [info-tech] Public/Community Member use of School Computer Labs?
I don't think we have a policy but we haven't been approached to allow others in the community to use our computer labs. Re: [info-tech] Public/Community Member use of School Computer Labs?
Lance, Since you allow public use of your computer labs, do you know what they are using the labs for? Can they use the labs for anything? Does the use of the computer labs need to be for education or can it be for commerce, etc.? no we do not allow outside people to use the lab; however, we have never been approached by a public group to use our computers. i would have to say that we would not give permission, if asked. HI, We have Adult Ed. classes, training for area businesses, etc. in our labs. We have guest accts. setup and they go through the same content filter everyone else does. There has to be a school employee teaching, supervising, or taking the class. Same guidelines for no food or drink in the labs, etc. Tim - Tim Buenz Director of Technology Jefferson-Scranton Comm.
