Bismillah [IslamCity] Thought for the day

2008-05-28 Thread PoEtEsS
As Salaamu Alaikum

Live Purposefully
If you don't live life on purpose you live life by accident. Why do some days
feel like a motorway pile up? It's because you haven't sorted out your purpose
yet. The highest purpose is always giving, or serving others, without wanting
anything in return. This is why relaxation is always impossible if we are
always 'on the take'. There is an overall purpose for your life, and each of
the many scenes which fill your day are opportunities to serve your purpose.
Take time to think deeply, listen to your intuition, and with patience, the
reason why you are here, and what you uniquely have to give, will occur to you.
Then you can live your life 'on purpose'.

RE: Bismillah [IslamCity] 6 BEAUTIFUL GEMS

2008-05-28 Thread smiley1786
The good work done by the jamaat is highly noted throughout the Muslim World.

The alleged weak hadith related in the kitaabs are only for the purposes
of FAZA-EEL [virtues]i.e for purposes of encouraging people to do good
deeds and it does not relate to the fundamentals of faith.

If you cant do the good they are doing please dont stop or discourage
others from doing so.

I suggest we stop discussing this matter further as it will lead to
unecessary argument which is not healthy.

May Allah protect us from all Fitnas

was salaam
Abdullah

 From: Abu Abdullah

 Subject: Tableeghis

 Date: Sun, 08 Sep 2002

 Fiqh made Easy Tableeghis (3)

History: It was formed by Muhammad Ilyaas b. Muhammad Isma'il

al-Hanafi Ad-Doe'bundi al-Jushti al-Kandahlawi. He was born in the year
1303H and died in the 1363H. After him his son Muhammad Yousef b.

Muhammad Ilyaas took over the Jama'aat. After him In'aam al-Hasan took

over. The basic books which is used in this Jama'aat are Tablighi

Nisaab, (Fadhaailal-A'maal) by Muhammad Zakariyah Kan'dahlawi who took the
special leave from all four Sufi orders, namely the Jishtiyah,
 Nuqshabundiyah, Sahrooriyah and Qaadiriyah.

This book is full of weak and fabricated Hadeeth and Sufi stories. It also
praises and elevates Ibn Arabi who believes in Wihdatul Wujood. They also
use 'Hayatus Sahabah' for Muhammad Yousef Kanduhlawi, which too is full of
weak and fabricated Hadeeth besides the many Sufi stories.

 Six Points:

The Tableegh Jamaa'at is based on the six usool (points):

 1. Fulfilling the Kalimah (La ilahah Illa Allah Muhammad Rasool Allah).
 2.
Prayer prayed in a humble and submissive format.

 3. Knowledge with remembrance.

 4. Generosity to the Muslims.

 5. Correcting and making sincere the Niyyah.

 6. Khurooj for the sake of Allah.

 General Rule:

The basic rule with which we should understand the six points is:
 'Whatever
causes hatred or divides people it is cast away and out of the methodology
 of the Jama'aat.'

Meaning of some of the 6 Points:

*The meaning of fulfilling La ilahah illa Allah is as stated in

the books of Aqeedah, which comprises of Tawheed of Ruboobiyah, Uloohiyah,
and Asma wus Sifaat. But this is not what is meant by the
 Tableeghis...they
give it a new meaning, which revolves the Tawheed of Ruboobiyah. That is
that Allah is the creator, the provideretc. No one rejects this; as
 for
talking in issues of Uloohiyah or Asma wus Sifaat, it is not possible
 since
it causes commotion and divides people.

*Look at the third point, Knowledge with remembrance. What does it mean?
 The
Jama'at divides knowledge into two categories: Masaail and Fadaail. The
Masaail (Fiqh related issues) are avoided and they only talk about Fadaail
(virtues). We ask would the brothers involved in Tableegh uphold the Amr
 bil
Ma'roof wun Nahi annil Munkar? i.e. ordering the good and forbidding the
evil? No, because it causes commotion. How then is one ordered with good?
They read Hadeeth which encourage a person to perform the action that he
 is
not doing. They said that the knowledge of Masaail is only for the
scholars, and when one of them wants to learn his Deen they say, 'You are
 a
Da'iyah and the Da'iyah is like the cloud, it passes by people and lands
 and
suffices them with water; opposite of the scholars who are like wells. If
you are thirsty and are far from the well the thirst might kill you. Or
 you
may reach the well and find that the bucket is not there'

The Khurooj: On Thursday morning the Ameer of the Jama'aat divides those
who want to go for Khurooj into two groups. The first who stay in the
 Masjid
who form a dhikr circle which is continuous until the first group returns.

The second group divides into small groups each of about three people or
more who knock on doors around the Masjid and invite them to the Tableegh
work and Da'wah between the Maghrib and Ishaa. The first group which sits
 in
the Masjid is similar to an alternator which supplies electricity, while
 the
second group, like a lamp. As long as the alternator supplies electricity
the lamp would stay lit Tableeghi Literature:

What the brothers in Tableegh usually read are the virtues of good deeds.
 No
doubt that there is nothing wrong with this especially if the virtues are
authentic, but a man cannot learn his Deen from virtues alone. The Muslim
 is
in need of learning his Aqeedah which is referred to by Abu Hanifah, may
Allah be pleased with him, as the 'Greater Fiqh' and also 'Masaail' so
 that
he worship Allah properly, and know Allah's limits. It is with great
 sorrow
to find the books that our brothers from the Tableegh read contain many
 Sufi
Stories which contain no knowledge. One such Sufi story is, that a Sheik
was sitting in a majlis and had to relieve himself badly. The majlis was
very full, so he looked for his mureed (student) and stared intensely in
 his
eyes, after awhile the mureed left

Bismillah [IslamCity] THE PURPOSE OF MANKIND

2008-05-28 Thread Mohammed Farooq
 THE PURPOSE OF MANKIND
To understand the purpose of mankind we need to understand the role of human
beings both at the individual level - nafs - and the collective level -unfus-
as well as the level of the external world - af'aque - since the Qur'an is very
clear on these issues. The underlying purpose of all three identities i.e. the
nafs, the unfus and the af'aque, is to return to Allah. It is of  utmost
importance  that there will be a return.
At the individual level: nafs(noon-fe-seen)
The Qur'an uses this word 255 times. The purpose of mankind at the individual
level i.e. at the level of the nafs is self-development. What is nafs? This
concept can neither be percieved nor explained empirically as it is not
material, however, it is intrinsically bound up with the notion of Self. In the
Qur'an it is referred to as  roohona or 'divine energy'. Every human action -
even thoughts - affects it, either providing growth and development to the self
(nafs) or causing its disintegration.
(6:164)[...]every nafs shall bear the consequences of its actions and no one
can help him in any capacity[...]
Whennafs is used to promote the higher valuesof humanity according to the
divine lawsit becomes positive/good receiving nourishment as it does so, but
when it is used for selfish ends, it becomes negative, which the Qur'an terms
as hawa: the source of cunning. For further explanation see verses: 10:108;
17:7-15; 29:6; 30:44; 31:12; 35:18; 39:7,41; 41:46; 45:15 and 53:38.
At the collective level: unfus
Unfusis the plural of nafs. The purpose of mankind at the collective level i.e.
the level of the unfus is the consolidation of human beings into a single
entity (umut ul wahada). This requires the establishment of the Islamic State
in which mankind will be able to establish Allah's laws, their deen, that is, a
comprehensive way of life beneficial to all of mankind. Some details on the
concept of deen were given earlier in chapter 2.
The external world: af'aque
The Qur'an in many of its verses encourages mankind to study nature as it holds
secrets which are beneficial to mankindand which can only be brought to light
through research. Nature is the Book of Allah, and the Qur'an an extract of
that Book, which, if we were able to implement in real life, would enable us to
unlock the secrets of Nature for the benefit of mankind. The following verse is
one of many which should lead us to study and understand nature.
(45:13)And He has made subservient to you, from Himself, all that is in the
Heavens and the Earth: in this, behold, there are messages indeed for people
who think!

Return to Allah
This fact is specified in many verses, and though often passed over lightly,
this is the final destination and ultimate purpose of Man. There follow a few
examples of the many reminders of this fact in the Qur'an:
(53:42)To yourRabb is the final goal.
(18:110)[...]Whoever expects to meet hisRabb, let him perform righteous
actions, and in the  subservience of his Sustainer, his Rabb, make no one as
partner.
(2:45,46) Seek help in patience and salat, and truly it is hard, save for the
humble-minded, who know that they will have to meet their Rabb, and unto Him
they are returning.
(29:23)Those who disbelieve in the revelations of Allah and in their meeting
with Him, such have no hope of My Rahmat. For such there is a painful doom.
Further evidence is given in 2:223,249; 3:28; 5:18,48; 6:154; 11:29; 12:20;
24:42; 25:15; 31:14; 40:3; 41:54; 50:43; 53:42; 56:60 and 64:3.
In this connection we would like to mention the thinking of  Allama Mashriqi
as quoted by Shabbir Hussain.3
The human species, he argued, is governed by the laws different from what
appears feasible in the case of other animal species and vegetation. The law of
survival and destruction of human societies concerns the science of religions,
which was specially revealed to Man by the Creator through His chosen
messengers. Allama's main aim was to bring mankind together on the basis of
unity of this science and its purposes, just as the scientist enforces unity of
concept when he upholds physical realities. He propounded a far higher purpose
of Man's creation than has ever been conceived by any evolutionist or
physicist. He held that Man was created to conquer the universe; the universe
was created to be available to Man; to enrich him, to educate and train him how
to utilize and recreate it. He declared that Man's present form was not his
final form; Man's further evolution was inevitable for enabling him to inhabit
every nook and cranny of the universe, to make
him imperishable. This, he stated, was enunciated in the Qur'an and writ large
on the face of the universe as the sole purpose of Man's creation. He
demonstrated the deep harmony between the purposes of physical sciences and the
science of religions, described divine revelation as the highest form of
science, and explained the

It is not illegal to say that you think someone should be killed, so
Fox-Lying-Newz is allowed to say that. Her boss might not be happy
with her, but while I'm studying medicine and not law, my brother
studies law and he said she's within her rights. Lots of people think
he should be dead. Not illegal to think.
