Wahai Temang temang itcenter, Bantuin saya dong, kompie saya dan yg lain dlm lan kena virus trojan.cachecachekit , saya uda cari dan jalankan langkah2 pembersihan dari symantec. katanya itu w32.spybot ato w32.toxbot (lupa) yg bikin file trojan.cachecachekit ini. setelah saya ikut instruksi dan donlod list file terbaru dari symantec. ikutan nimbrung dong.. based on pengalaman, sejak windows NT 4.0 dulu RAID sudah bisa dilakukan secara software based, saat itu saya hanya coba raid 1 aja, (gak tau kalo raid 0 atau 5). Kelemahan dari RAID secara software ini (OS based) jika OS nya rusak, maka RAIDnya juga ikutan problem. Misalkan RAID 1, ke dua disk nya udah masing2 identik dan mengalami problem, tahu sendiri lah gimana jadinya. kita harus install ulang dan create raidnya lagi. sedangkan untuk kecepatannya, tergantung dari SCSI controller nya, jadi kalau scsi controllernya sudah U320, maka speednya bisa mencapai 320MB/s (saat ini) (tapi perlu diketahui bahwa SCSI untuk bandwidth nya di share, jadi kalau 1 disk speednya bisa mencapai 320MB/s, jika 2 disk atau seterusnya speednya menjadi turun) Memang RAID secara hardware lebih cepat dan lebih baik dibanding secara software, karena: 1. RAID Adapternya memiliki cache sendiri, tentunya hal ini mempercepat proses akses data ke HD nya. 2. Jika RAID adapter nya rusak, kita bisa ganti dengan RAID adapter yang baru tanpa takut kehilangan configurasi RAID nya, krn config RAID nya sendiri tersimpan di HD nya (compare kalau RAID secara software mengalami problem RAIDnya) Kekurangnya hanya lah ada additional cost yang tentu saja lebih mahal dibanding dengan SCSI controller biasa. Satu hal lagi yang penting dalam penggunaan RAID adalah adanya fasilitas Hot Swap / Hot Plug, dimana penggantian HD nya bisa dilakukan saat system masih nyala. Jadi kalau menggunakan RAID tanpa Hot Swap/Hot plug, rasanya masih kurang, krn tanpa itu, server masih tetap harus dimatikan untuk penggantian HD yang rusak. Maaf nanya lagi. Kalo boleh tahu dengan konsep seperti itu keuntungan kelemahannya apa ya. Apa Keuntungannya biar kalau ada ubah aplikasi tidak menunggu client logout. Terus kayak gitu apa tidak mungkin terjadi inconsistensy saat user a pakai program lama sedang user b pakai program baru. Gimana aplikasi yang diubah berakibat inconsistency user a dan user b. Dear Pakar IT.. Terima kasih atas petunjuknya.. Saya sudah coba jadikan slave HD saya yang crash itu dengan merubah pin connectornya sesuai gambar di HD Hp 20 GB itu. Masih belum bisa terbaca isinya. Penukaran PCB nggak bisa saya lakukan karena tak punya sparenya. Bawa ke alamat servis di JKT, blon bisa juga karena jauh amat :-) DSL linux akan saya coba nanti cari softwarenya. Sampai mengenali model HD itu, yakni IC35L020AVER07-0, PC saya masih bisa melakukannya. Apakah bisa HD itu dibuka untuk melihat isinya kalo2 ada nampak kerusakan mekanikal didalamnya ? Kayaknya obengnya khusus yaa.. HDD saya terpasang sekarang sih udah yang baru, tapi saya tetap ingin mengambil data2 di HDD yang crash itu. Satu lagi, apa penyebab setiap saya disconnect dari Telkomnet Instan selalu PC saya mendadak mati dan reboot lagi ? Bagaimana mengatasinya ? Thanks in advance atas petunjuk para pakar semuanya. Kalo pake win2k server / adv server, saya sarankan ramnya ditambah at least 2xnya. Pastikan power supply yg bagus, hdd pake fan, juga case-nya. Dan kalo datanya banyak, ada baiknya hdd diperbesar (selisih sktr 120 rb dgn 80 gb). Mainboard saya sarankan pake yg chipset intel-2 saja, kalo bisa yg i865. Semoga bisa membantu. Jadi tentu dalam situasi kayak begini satu-satunya hiburan bagi masyaralat ialah bercinta kasih antara suami isteri kan? Klo misalnya ada perubahan aplikasi program FoxPro dan menit itu juga user tsb harus memakai aplikasi yg sudah dirubah tsb, misalnya aplikasi General Ledger, maka khusus program GL tsb saya copy-kan ke folder UPDPRG yg ada di Win NT, lalu setelah itu saya kasih tau ke user tsb untuk menjalankan proses UPDPRG tsb, dgn cara masuk ke menu Startup -- UPDPRG dan lalu menjalankan file UPDPRG.EXE tsb. Maka program GL tsb otomatis akan di-replace dgn versi terbaru yg tlah dirubah. Klo masalah inconsistensy tetap ada koq, tapi biasanya sih sangat jarang terjadi. Biasanya apa yg saya rubah hari ini misalnya, semua perubahan berlaku untuk keesokan harinya, jadi semua user yg menggunakan program GL akan otomatis mendapatkan program GL yg sudah di-update keesokan harinya. Gak semua user yg memakai program GL harus meng-update program GL tsb, karena ada pengaturan privilege pd program GL yg saya buat. Misalnya user A hanya bisa melihat report yg sudah diposting oleh user laen. User B hanya bisa input data penjualan saja, user C bisa posting data, lihat report, dan juga input data penjualan. Jadi intinya, program GL yg saya buat ada menu login-nya pas pertama kali running. Setiap user yg memakai program GL harus memasukkan username password untuk bisa memakai program GL tsb. Klo misalnya ada perubahan aplikasi untuk menu posting dimana perubahan tsb harus dilakukan hari ini, maka cukup pada kompie user C saja program GL tsb di-update. Sedangkan pada kompie user A dan user B, proses update akan dilakukan keesokan harinya. Berhubung perubahan aplikasi tsb yg memakai-nya hanya user C saja, sedangkan user laen yg memakai program GL tidak ada akses untuk masuk ke menu posting data tsb, jadi update program GL tsb akan efektif berlaku keesokan harinya. Semua program FoxPro yg saya buat saya copykan ke direktori C:\Windows\Int\nama folder program\file exe program DLL program FoxPro untuk bisa dijalankan. File UPDPRG yg saya buat akan men-cek ke server apakah ada program aplikasi yg berubah, jika ada maka akan dilakukan proses updating program tsb dgn versi yg terbaru ke direktori dimana program tsb saya copy. Jadi, program FoxPro yg dibuat saya copykan ke hardisk local semua user (agar proses entry data lebih cepat), sedangkan program update-nya saya letakkan di server Win NT. Pas program update jalan, otomatis akan copy program update yg ada di server NT ke hardisk kompie masing2 user. Sedangkan database FoxPro saya letakkan di server Mandrake Linux 10 dgn Samba sbg File Sharing, dimana program GL yg saya buat database file untuk program GL tsb berada di server Linux. Dibuka sih bisa saja, tapi katanya ruang cakram HD itu kedap udara lho (kebenarannya saya juga belum tahu, mungkin ada yg ngerti hardware bisa konfirmasi ?),menurut saya sih benar karena saya pernah bongkar, setelah dibuka antara dinding rumah HD tersebut dilapisi semacam bahan seperti kain tapi tidak tembus udara. Kalau benar, sekali dibuka berarti rusak HD nya. Sedikit berbagi pengalaman non teknis tapi tidak dianjurkan untuk diikuti :) saya pernah mengalami HD rusak seperti yg anda alami sampai akhirnya kesal HD nya (sudut HD) diketok ke lantai tapi tidak terlalu keras, kemudian dipasang lagi menjadi slave. ehhbisa dibaca kembali, tapi kemudian rusak lagi setelah booting beberapa kali kalau tidak salah ingat 3x booting ulang. regard's tokodistro.com --- In ITCENTER@yahoogroups.com, Ana Lestaluhu [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: Dear Pakar IT..
