Dear all, Sekedar share aja. Mungkin ada yang membutuhkan. Akhirnya saya mendapatkan kejelasan untuk masalah license Windows menggunakan NComputing. NComputing dianggap sebagai remote dekstop sehingga license yang dikenakanpun license remote dekstop. Dengan catatan komputer yang digunakan sebagai server menggunakan Windows XP.Dimana saat ini 1 License adalah $166 Kalau menggunakan Windows server, contoh Windows server 2003 dikenakan call license untuk setiap divice NComputingnya. [ITCENTER] Menghitung kebutuhan CPU ?
Lupa nih, dulu sudah pernah dapat. Ada yang masih punya , ingat cara untuk menghitung kebutuhan CPU. Contoh kita akan membuat PC Server, nah bagaimana kita menentukan Proccesor yang akan kita pakai. Untuk Osnya sendiri butuh sekian, untuk aplikasi a butuh sekian dstnya. Sehingga didapatkan nilai minimal yang harus dipenuhi. Thanks. Biasanya justru ada software dari vendor yang buat aplikasi tersebut. Contohnya server application dari Microsoft, Beberapanya memiliki Capacity Planning untuk sizing yang akan melakukan input masukan2 dan akan mengeluarkan perkiraann hasil perhitungan. Ada juga yang berupa assesment software, yang akan menghitung current trend dari server yang hidup untuk melakukan sizing ulang. Masalahnya say alupa linknya, dulu dapet dari microsoft langsung. Saya pernah memakai software serupa seperti yang bapak maksudkan. Memang dari Vendor untuk software tertentu sih. Kalau produk canggih seperti Veritas itu saya udah ngga ikutin perkembangannya lagi, jadi ngga tahu mubazir atau tidak :-) Saya sudah cukup puas pakai software murmer, Cobian Backup. Backup ke HDD external via USB, sesuai format file aslinya, bukan multi-Gigabyte ZIP file atau proprietary format. Yang saya lakukan, Cobian Backup saya pasang di mesin Host dan HDD external juga konek ke mesin Host. Jadi nanti dia yang konek ke masing-masing VM untuk backup file/folder. Untuk saat ini saya belum melakukan backup full VM (folder Virtual Machine), jadi kalau VM rusak, masih perlu reinstall Windows. Hanya saja, saya sudah siapkan image Windows dalam bentuk VM. Jadi kalau perlu DR, tinggal copy image Windows itu, jalankan, masukkan Product Key dan 5 menit kemudian Windows sudah up-and-running. Setelah itu tinggal instal dan setup apps yang dibutuhkan. Apalagi di head office, bayaran server dihitung dari space dan listrik yang dipake per physical. hi IT expert, Mau tanya donk, gimana caranya setting security nya wireless router Linksys WRT54G? soalnya selama ini kl kita lihat di laptop yang ada WAN nya router saya tulisannya 'unsecure wireless network', tapi saya sudah aktifin mac filter sih, jadi hanya mac address yg saya daftar aja yg bs connect. kl selama ini security mode nya disable, nah kl saya mau enable musti pilih yg mana ya? Dear All, Kita berencana untuk memindahkan komputer ke tempat dimana ada proteksi terhadap kebakaran. jarak antara ruangan tersebut dan operator kira - kira 10-20 meter. jadi nantinya cpu akan berada di ruangan tersebut dan LCD, mouse dan keyboard akan tetap berada di tempat semula.
