saya rio,saya mempunyai server FTP menggunakan windows server dengan ftp menggunakan filezilla server,saya hendak migrasi FTP server saya menggunakan solaris 10,yang saya mau tanyakan,apakah ada filezilla server untuk solaris,agar mempermudah saya exim account setting dari Filezilla server windows saya. Kalau dilihat dari webnya, tidak ada filezilla server untuk solaris. atau ada solusi lain??mohon pencerahannya.. Walah, jelas jelas Solaris x86 itu beda dengan Solaris SPARC. Yang satu Little Endian, satunya lagi Big Endian. Bukannya itu jelas sekali yah? Ya beda... Tapi karena saya pikir karena aplikasi ini bukan spesifik os, jadi saya coba saja install aplikasi ini di Intel base. Linux aja juga gitu, Linux AMD64 saja gak mungkin dijalankan di Linux i386, apalagi Linux SPARC dan Linux MIPS maupun Linux EMT64. Btw, emang nggak bisa ya aplikasi misal openssh-server.deb ubuntu i386 di install di ubuntu x64? seberapa besar sih kalo keseluruhan aplikasi dan data dibuat tar ball? Kalo bisa di transfer via Internet pakai Megaupload misalkan, tak coba jalankan di mesin UltraSparc saya. Dear All, To the point.. Bagaimana cara yg pas backup data2 user, jika : - Data tidak terpusat (data ada di komp masing2) - Workgroup - Data User ada yg sifatnya privacy, personal, perusahaan (ada yg boleh dilihat orang lain ada yg sangat tidak boleh) Dengan catatan, backup data bisa uptodate, jadi ketika sore hari user pulang kantor, besuk pagi data user kerja sehari itu dah terbackup. Hmm..., kebetulan user disini, semuanya menggunakan windows XP, dan satu user itu ada yg datanya sudah mencapai 20 GB an. berarti klo menggunakan teknik ini, tinggal pasang di masing2 windows nya SyncToy, kemudian set machine backup dengan samba + rsyncd ? atau perlu di backup dulu manual (data yg 20an GB itu) ? Jika tujuan anda adalah backup, maka anda pilih option untuk mode subscribe, jadi walau source dihapus, target tidak. Tapi jika ada update di source untuk nama file yang sama, di target di update. Saya pinginnya, data yg di komp si user ini, tetep ada, dan jika terupdate, maka di machine backup ini juga terupdate. Mungkin sarankan user anda untuk meninggalkan komputer dalam kondisi hidup, lalu jam 18:00 mulai Sync otomatis, dan 19:00 shutdown otomatis. Nah ini dia yg kadang susah, si user ini kadang tidak mau meninggalkan komp nya dalam keadaan hidup (takut dibuka2 datanya or yg laennya) walau tanpa setau mereka saya bisa membuka komp mereka malah dengan user administrator yg saya pegang. Kalo semua client itu Windows ya cukup samba aja. Rysync itu cuman untuk kalo clientnya *nix. Yup... atau perlu di backup dulu manual (data yg 20an GB itu) ? Saya pinginnya, data yg di komp si user ini, tetep ada, dan jika terupdate, maka di machine backup ini juga terupdate. Apa penjelasan saya kurang jelas? Maaf, saya kurang teliti baca jadi walau source dihapus, target tidak, saya kira source di HD user jadi terhapus... Makanya saya pingin seolah2 backup ini tersamar jadi si user ini tidak tau jika datanya di backup, tapi saya bisa punya backup data mereka uptodate. Ya kalau begitu lakukan sync pada jam kerja. Paling cuman nanti ada perlambatan komputer karena sibuk transfer data. Lakukan saja secara staggered. Jam 9 pagi group A, jam 10 pagi group B dst. Atau kalo mau sama sama, bisa dilakukan di jam makan siang. Cara lain, anda sebagai admin lakukan setup buat user, kemudian minta dia execute sync sendiri. Nanti kalo ternyata dia tidak pernah sync dan datanya hilang, sewa team cheerleader buat joget joget sambil teriak kecian deh luu. Ok lunch time... saya rasa cukup klo hanya 25 MB per user ini juga dikarenakan tidak adanya SOP di kantor ini. Nah sudah bisa mengidentifikasi masalahnya sendiri. Kalo begitu yg tinggal bikin SOP. Nah ini dia, saya penah ngajuin SOP made in saya sendiri, sampe skrg blom di approve... mungkin karena SOP nya ndak terstruktur, klo punya contoh SOP, boleh dong bagi2... Sebetulnya dengan adanya Linux+Samba itu anda sudah bisa membuat sebuah Windows PDC dan mengubah network dari Workgroup ke Domain. Hanya saja karena cara anda bertanya cukup hanya untuk backup dan anda bilang tidak ada SOP, maka saya tidak menyarankan bikin PDC. Karena jika sudah bikin PDC dan bikin shared folder segala, tanggung jawab maintenance jatuh ke anda. Lain kalo hanya ditawarkan sebagai media backup, anda bisa suka suka soal availabilitynya. Tapi omong-omong kalo tidak ada SOP, itu kan juga berarti tidak ada kewajiban buat anda, atau tuntutan buat anda kalau ada orang kehilangan data? Hmm... compatible kok mas.. soale memory card ini sebelum di format, dulu jg di pake di hp ini (nokia 9500) :) Wpy: Coba anda copy file ke MMC tsb, lalu setelah itu file tsb anda hapus. Lakukan hal tsb minimal 3 kali. Klo masih gak ke-detect juga, coba anda format MMC tsb di Pocket PC. Biasanya sich bisa ke-detect klo sudah diformat di Pocket PC.
