Saya punya pengalaman, ketika HDD saya tidak terdeteksi oleh Windows, iseng saya coba masuk ke Partition Magic 8 HDD tersebut terdeteksi namun isinya kosong, saya coba install FinalData 1.0, HDD tsb terdeteksi dan langsung saya recovery data yang ada, data yang ada besarnya jadi 2-3 kali lipat, saya cukup kebingungan cari HDD tambahan. Setelah selesai recovery saya fdisk hdd tsb dan format, lalu dipakai lagi...selesai. Sebelum memilih, tentukan kebutuhan IT anda saat ini dan kedepan S/W akan berbanding lurus dengan jumlah karyawan yang menggunakan PC H/W sama dengan S/W ditambah apakah akan menggunakan server/tidak 2. Beberapa vendor komputer memiliki keunggulan, mis: COMPAQ untuk server, IBM/Toshiba untuk Notebook, HP untuk PC. 3. IMHO... Kecepatan Broadband hanya sampai dengan 2 MBps, Nah, Meski anda pakai Modem dgn port RJ45 (ethernet) dengan speed 100 MBps saya rasa tdk ada pengaruh yang berarti. Dengan ethernet 10 MBps, 100 MBps atau USB yang speed 12 MBps ya sama saja. Analogi: Kecepatan Ethernet 10/100 MBps atau USB 12MBps adalah jenis pipa dengan diameter 1, 1/2 atau 3/4 dan kecepatan internet dialup (56 KBps) atau broadband (2MBps) atau bahkan leased line standard 64 KBps adalah debit air yang melalui pipa tersebut. CMIIW Nah...keliatan kan...kalo debit airnya lebih kecil daripada pipanya...so tidak ada pengaruhnya. Dear IT'ers and Flash'ers, beberapa minggu ini saya coba bikin2 flash (Swish 2.0), iseng saya coba ubah formatnya ke html lalu saya publish. Mengingat besarnya bandwidth untuk upload file terbatas (250 KB), akhirnya file flash saya pecah menjadi 3 bagian: intro, isi-1 dan isi2. Nah disini permasalahan muncul yaitu putusnya link dari intro ke isi-1 maupun isi-2 padahal file2 tersebut satu folder. pertanyaannya: 1. Apakah saya harus meng-convert semua file flashnya ke html (saat ini hanya intro-nya saja yang saya convert namun bila saya test lokal di hard disk format ini dapat memanggil file isi-1 dan isi-2 yang masih format swf)? 2. Saya juga pernah meng-convert ketiga file swf tersebut ke html, tetapi masih tetap tdk dpt link satu sama lain, apakah ini karena penamaan file html-nya yang salah (mis: utk file utama hrs dinamai index/default), kalau jawabannya ya, bagaimana penamaan html yang benar untuk file2 ikutannya (isi-1 dan isi-2)? Setelah ditanya ke dealernya, langsung mereka bilang, udah update biosnya aja, soalnya ganti memori gak jamin bisa jalan, setelah itu PC-nya langsung bisa diinstall windows dgn lancarnya. Udah seneng booting bisa normal lagi, saya ingin menginstall Windows XP lagi Setelah CD booting dari CD instalasi WinXP dan pilihan install saya enter, eh... bukannya nginstall WinXP, tuh Compaq malah ribut (Reboot) !_! Udah coba gonta-ganti CD instalasi dari yang OEM sampe yang GPL, dari WinXP sampe Win98 tetep aja gak mau. Trus saya coba install WinXP dari Compaq laen yang identik trus HDD-nya saya pasang di Compaq yang bermasalah. Windows bisa startup... tapi pas muncul halaman login tuh Compaq langsung restart lagi... Saya udah coba ganti memori n tukeran BIOS ama Compaq yang laen tetep aja... Ya udah, akhirnya saya coba install Mandrake lagi, lancar-lancar aja sampe sekarang... Well, kira-kira masalahnya di mana ya? Soalnya k-lo pake Linux di kantor jadi kurang bisa digunakan karena sebagian besar program yang digunakan u/ kerjaan Windows based. kalo memang lupa dan adminnya ada passwordnya, mungkin situs ini bisa bantu, toolsnya pakai boot unix, hanya dengan floppy disk password bisa di reset: http://smun65.blogspot.com/2003_09_01_smun65_archive.html Kalau lupa password lokalnya, di Safe Mode aja komputernya, kali aja password Administratornya tidak di password. When you connect to a Windows Server 2003-based computer by using the Windows Server 2003 Remote Desktop Connection client, you can select the color resolution at which you want the client session to run. This functionality permits you to increase the resolution beyond the former limitation of 256 colors. However, by selecting this value, you are not guaranteed to connect at as high a resolution as you select, because the client setting is only one of the variables involved in generating a particular color resolution in the session. Increase Color Resolution for Windows Server 2003-based Terminal Services When you connect to a Windows Server 2003-based computer by using the Remote Desktop Connection client, you can specify for the client to run with more than 256 colors. Before you specify a color-resolution setting, you must first set up Remote Desktop Connections. To do this, follow these steps: 1. Right-click My Computer, click Properties, and then click the Remote tab. 2. Click to select the Allow users to connect remotely to this computer check box, and then click OK. 3. On another computer, start Remote Desktop Connections. To do this, click Start, point to All Programs, point to Accessories, point to Communications, and then click Remote Desktop Connection. 4. Type the name of the computer that you are connecting to. 5. Click Options to expand the connection window. 6. Click the Display tab, and then select a color resolution other than 256 under Colors. 7. Click Connect to start the session. Set Group Policy for Maximum Color Depth of Terminal Services In many cases, the client still connects with 256 colors instead of whatever value you specified in the Remote Desktop Connection box after you perform the procedure in the Increase Color Resolution for Windows Server 2003-based Terminal Services section of this article. This behavior may occur because of Group Policy on the Windows Server 2003-based computer that determines the maximum color depth that can be negotiated by the client. In Windows Server 2003, the default policy setting is 256 colors, but this setting can be changed by using the Group Policy Editor. To use the Group Policy Editor to change the setting, follow these steps: 1. Click Start, click Run, and then type MMC. 2. On the File menu, click Add/Remove Snap-in, click Add, and then click Group Policy Object Editor. 3. Click Add, make sure that Local Computer is selected in the Group Policy Object box, click Finish, click Close, and then click OK. 4. Click Computer Configuration, click Administrative Templates, click Windows Components, and then click Terminal Services. 5. Click Limit maximum color depth, and then select the color depth that you want. After you change the setting, you should be able to specify any setting of more than the default setting of 256 colors setting, and the client should be able to connect with that resolution. NOTE: You cannot specify and connect at a higher resolution than your hardware can support.
