Kebetulan lagi seneng mainan beberapa o/s pada satu mesin yang sama. Dan kebetulan pula dari awal sudah beli lisensi Parallels Desktop :-D Oiya, saya sudah pakai Parallels Desktop 7 yang untuk Mac. Karena selain Ubuntu, juga ada Win7, Win8, Chrome, lagi mau instal RHEL, W2K8 juga. Waktu dikantor yang dulu, biasa-nya sih penamaan-nya berdasarkan: - Lokasi dimana aset (PC/Server/Laptop)tersebut tercatat - Nomor aset (PC/Server/Laptop) - Nama user/business unit yang menggunakan aset tersebut (PC/Server/Laptop) Contoh-nya: ID-JKT-110-YULADU Dibaca: ID = Negara dimana aset tercatat JKT = Kota/Cost Center dimana aset tercatat 110 = Nomor Aset YULADU = User yang terdaftar menggunakan aset tersebut Untuk penyertaan nama user yang menggunakan aset tersebut, biasa-nya jarang dilakukan, mengingat perubahan pengguna-nya. Biasa-nya sih hanya 3 paramater diawal tadi itu. Kelebihan dari model penamaan seperti itu, tentu-nya akan membantu untuk inventarisasi. Salah satu benefit dari pemisahan role administrator adalah memungkinkan semua hal yang terkait dengan manajemen server dapat dilakukan dengan domain admin credentials di RODC. Hal ini dikarenakan DA credentials biasanya di cache, jika passwordnya dihadirkan via RDP maka ada kemungkinan credential tersebut dimiliki oleh hacker. Sehingga hal yang paling penting yang harus diingat adalah, jangan pernah logon dengan credentials Domain Account atau Enterprise Account. Hal tersebut dapat dihindari dengan opsi menambahkan administrator saat pembuatan account RODC. Kemudian Anda dapat menggunakan domain user account yang sudah ditambahkan ke role ARS untuk menjalankan dcpromo dan menggunakan server management di RODC. Anda dapat mendelegasikan restricted rights kepada domain user untuk melakukan beberapa hal di AD jika memang sangat dibutuhkan dengan menggunakan Domain Account credentials tanpa trusted Domain Controller. But the whole point of iPhone -- of all our products, really -- is to offer a product that not everyone can have. A product that makes you different, and unique, and special. Who in their right mind was going to shell out 600 bucks for a friggin phone, right? Especially if it lacks all sorts of features that people really want. Just to be doubly sure we put it on the ATT network and gave it an unbearably slow wireless connection so that Web browsing is practically impossible. Well, much to our amazement, it turns out there are just loads and loads of people willing to spend 600 bucks on a feature-lite phone as long as it has one crucial feature, which is our Apple logo on the outside. Who knew? Well, demand is just so strong that I've had to slam on the brakes before things get out of control. Apple faithful, listen up. There is nothing to worry about. Honestly. iPhone, like all our products, including Apple TV, is a huge super dooper smash hit. Too big, actually. That's why we're cutting back production. Make sense? Of course it does. The trading note, issued in an attempt to explain why Apple shares were down in heavy volume despite a lack of apparent news, cites talk on Wall Street and also points to speculation that the cuts may be coming in iPod production. Apple didn't immediately return calls seeking comment. The news comes a day after Verizon (VZ - Cramer's Take - Stockpickr) reported that there was an initial surge in customer defections to rival ATT's (T - Cramer's Take - Stockpickr) during the iPhone introduction, but the following weeks saw a return to normal. Verizon says it is now signing up two customers to every one it loses. The hotly anticipated iPhone generated a great deal of attention and initial sales were brisk. Selain menggiurkan dengan gaji besar, bidang pekerjaan yang sedang naik daun ini ternyata juga punya risiko sendiri. Menurut T.K.R. Sudha, salah satu pengacara di pengadilan tinggi Madras, India, 40 persen dari kasus perceraian yang ditanganinya merupakan pasangan pekerja IT professional dan pasangan yang bekerja di bidang BPO (Bussines Process Outsourcing). Demikian dikutip detikINET dari Indiatimes, Rabu (1/8/20007). Di Kota Chennai, India setahun terakhir ini tercatat ada 3000 kasus perceraian yang didaftarkan di pengadilan tinggi. Pengadilan Keluarga yang biasanya sepi, tiba-tiba menjadi sibuk karena banyaknya kasus perceraian yang didaftarkan, sampai-sampai para pengacara merasa kesulitan menangani seluruh pekerjaan mereka. Kota Chennai dan daerah sekitarnya merupakan tempat tinggal (kurang lebih) dua ratus ribu pekerja IT dan BPO. Dr. S Nambi, mantan President of Indian Psychiatrists Association, merasa profesi ini (programmer perangkat lunak) harus membayar mahal atas tawaran dan gaya hidup yang ditawarkan oleh pekerjaannya itu. Karena pekerjaan IT ini memeras otak dan merupakan pekerjaan yang sarat kompetisi, emosi tinggi sering melanda mereka, dan hal tersebut membawa dampak pada kehidupan keluarganya. Karena permasalahan mental ini, banyak yang mengalami masalah dalam hubungan seksual yang berakibat pada keretakan rumah tangga, ungkapnya. Sekitar umur 28, mereka menjadi hyper sensitive. Pada usia 35 mereka akan merasa lelah (secara mental) dan capek, kata Nambi, yang kliniknya dipenuhi oleh sejumlah pasangan untuk konseling.
