Coba user log in ke sql server diganti passwordnya jangan sebagai default, 
apabila masih belum bisa cek koneksi yang ada di aplikasinya.

tools terus ke data source (ODBC) kemudian test tambah DSN SQL Servernya

betul biasanya ada settingan di firewallnya, atau pipenamenya sql server,
biasanya bro joe make ip address atau pake nama server namenya? dulu pernah
seperti itu make pipe name baru bisa kebaca, jangan lupa kalo server ada
antivirusnya dicek jg kalo port sql servernya di kasih access

Dear Bung Joe,

 

CMIIW, biasanya aplikasi pada saat dibuat membuat address untuk access
databasenya (misalnya: app.path \Database\namadb). Kalo exenya dipanggil
dari client tidak bisa menemukan database, apakah sudah dicoba membuat
shortcut program yang berjalan di server ke komp client? Intinya client
memanggil exe yang ada di server, bukan exe yang ada di comp client. Atau
coba buat mapping drive untuk folder aplikasi yang ada di server pada komp
client, kemudian coba panggil exe yang ada di mapping drive tersebut. Asumsi
saya, jika pada client ada notifikasi db tidak ditemukan, karena aplikasi
mencari db yang ada pada folder aplikasi di client, bukan di server.
Aplikasi client - server biasanya menetapkan satu folder yang harus diakses
dengan satu alamat yang bisa diakses oleh semua client (connection string
pada source code). Ini biasanya terlihat dari mentahan programnya, apakah
itu client setup ataupun server setup. Client setup biasanya pada first run
akan meminta path untuk dbnya, atau ada menu yang isinya men-setup path
dbnya. Sedangkan pada Server setup, folder dbnya adalah default program.

ditemukan.
 
Dr client coba ping ke server tsb "reply" , ambil data share juga bisa.
kira2 ada salah setingan dmn yah ?

Salam super IT'ers,

Mohon bantuan rekan-rekan sekalian, saya punya masalah dengan SQL Server
2005.

Saya baru install Windows Server 2008, kemudian saya install SQL Server
2005. Tapi sayangnya client tidak bisa connect ke server melalui ODBC DSN
ataupun menggunakan ADODC Connection di Visual Basic. Sehingga program
aplikasi tidak dapat jalan karena tidak mendeteksi Server. 

SQL Server di install dengan MIXED MODE (Windows Authentication and SQL
Authentication), Username : sa, Password : . Perlu diketahui, di PC
Server firewall OFF, dan belum ada antivirus, dan juga tipe jaringan bukan
domain, hanya workgroup dan sudah DHCP.

Saya sudah saya lakukan adalah :
1.  Memastikan jaringan terkoneksi dengan baik
2.  Username dan password sudah benar

Setiap kali dikoneksikan selalu muncul pesan error :
[DBNETLIB][ConnectionOpen (Connect()).]SQL Server does not exist or access
denied.

Mohon bantuan rekan-rekan sekalian. Jika ada referensi, atau pengalaman
mohon di share.

Pack 4 terakhir ataukah masih polos ? Klo sudah
diinstall SP 4 kayanya sich bisa koq diinstall dgn mulus

Sebetulnya sudah cukup pakai versi yang lebih rendah, seperti Standard
Edition atau Web Edition.

Anda kan belum jawab pertanyaan saya sebelumnya. Berapa banyak transaksi per
hari atau per jam, berapa besar perkiraan besar per record, berapa lama
(tahun) data harus selalu ada/online. Anda ngga bisa jawab? Ya mesti cari
tahu lah, interview semua departemen dan lihat alur kerjanya. Mereka kan
sudah ada sistem manual, kecuali klinik baru yang semua karyawannya fresh
graduate alias ngga punya pengalaman kerja. Bagaimana mau buat infrastruktur
kalau informasi seperti ini ngga ada.

nah kalau begitu saya balik tanya,...kalau saya
membangun infrastruktur sistem suatu klinik dengan
jumlah terminal 10-15 client, bagaimana menurut pak
Albert yang baik..?
agar saya tidak salah pilih apa yang telah di katakan
memasang Server Super Canggih dengan Database tua dan
super mini,..

Pertanyaanya saya balik, apakah fair anda menggunakan OS super canggih,
Windows 2003 Enterprise 64-bit, dengan database super tua dan super mini
seperti SQL 2000 SE?

Dear rekan2 semua,...

mungkin sesuai dengan judul di atas,..
saya langsung aja ke masalahnyan..
kebetulan di tempat saya akan dibangun suatu aplikasi
yang akan dipake sekitar 10-15 client,..dengan
microsoft base,..(semuanya produk microsoft...)
nah kebetulan saya disuruh untuk menrancang
infrastrukturnya,..mulai dari jaringan,server, hingga
software,..termasuk juga instalasi sserver dan
database,..

untuks server saya akhirnya pilih Server 2003
Enterprise Edition 64 bit,...
sedangkan untuk Database server saya blom begitu
mengerti, dulu pernah instal SQL 2000 SE, tapi untuk
konfigurasi saya ngak ikut...

sementara untuk Database server, saya di kasih dua
pilihan SQL Server 2000 SE atau SQL Server
2005 SE

pertanyaan saya 
1. Sejauh mana perbedaan kedua database
ini..?perfomance,stabilitas,..dll (SQL 2000 SE ama SQL
2005 SE)
2. apakah dengan SQL 2000 SE,...sudah cukup untuk
menangani transaksi aplikasi dengan 10-15 terminal..?
3.  spesifikasi untuk sistem, kalau untuk 10-15
terminal,sebaiknya pasangan antara OS dan database
yang bagaimana..?

Thanks atas response kawan2 smua..sekedar tambahan saya menggunakan
sharepoint diserver yang ada Sql Servernya..
Sharepoint bisa diakses oleh klien, meskipun ketika saya melakukan ping ke
server menghasilkan request time out. apakah ini berpengaruh pada  access
sql server,,

  Coba buka Enterprise Manager -> Klik kanan di Databasenya -> klik Menu 
Propertis
  Nanti ada Screen muncul dengan beberapa Tab ( General, Data Files, 
Transaction Log, dll )
  Di Tab Transaction Log itu ada file yang mencatat semua transaction

Aku sedang buat program database untuk jaringan kecil (max. 10 client).
Awal-nya aku akan mengunakan SQL server, tapi ada teman yg menyarankan
untuk memakai MySql. Terus terang aku jadi bingung harus pilih yg mana.
Mohon advice/bantuannya ttg perbandingan kedua RDBMS ini.

bapax-bapack mohon bantuan nya donk ...

ada yang bisa contohin ga gimana buat procedure dan view dalam SQL database 
dengan benar...
masalahnya waktu process update,insert,delete dari page
asp.netakan muncul error kalau database yang kita buat
tidak ada procedure-nya..
lain kalau cuma select atau nampilin data dari sebuah tabel.. DB tanpa 
procedure pun bisa2 aja..

sebenernya apasih maksud Procedure dlm SQL itu ?

kalu bisa kasih tau donx gimana buat database yg benar pake SQL Server..

saya ingin mengkoneksi sql server dengan data link properties tapi keluar 
message [DBNETLIB][ConnectionOpen(Connect()).]SQL server does not exists or 
access denied, padahal klo saya coba dari query analizer dan enterprise manager 
bisa, kenapa ya...?

mohon penjelasan juga solusinya dari rekan-rekan it semua..
