Hello all,
I'm a university student, and I have finished all my coursework for my
computing course. I am therefore writing to offer you a copy of my
project report. As you will see the project is based on a technical
support system I plan to set up in the future, using JAWS Tandem to
remotely assist somebody in using a computer.
If any of you would like a copy, please let me know off list, so I can
possibly attach it or upload it somewhere. Note it's 23 pages in length,
and it's in Microsoft Word 2007 format. I can, however, convert it if
required.

Thanks, and I look forward to any offers.

Hi everyone,

I got brave and decided to install a couple of these voices.

Using the information in the help menu I did the following.

1. I went to the page and down to the voice I wanted.

2. I then went down to the link directly below the voice and entered
to download

3. On this page I was asked to run or save. I chose save.

4. The save as popped up and I entered here

5. I could hear Jaws giving the percentage of the download and
waited

until it was finished

6. I did this for two voices

7. I closed the window and restarted my laptop.

I have gone to the voice settings in the Jaws options menu and did not
find

anything saying, "Real speak solo direct.

I also went into Word and pressed insert control s. I did not find this
here

either.

I just found eloquence and sappy 5.

I went to my download folder in the start menu of windows 7 and found the
two voice I had downloaded.

I must be doing something wrong.

Any help would be appreciated.

Patricia,

Usually the way it works is it gives you up to the minute
scores on games being played, scores of any completed games,
and the scheduled start time of games yet to start on the
date one uses. If you don't enter a date, it assumes today.
This is the first time I've noticed a problem and can't
remember if I have actually looked at it since the other day
when updating to latest version of JAWS

I am currently using Eudora which I think is really good and I

Why don't you just change your home page. Or use another search engine?
Google has never been my home page, and I never use it so I don't have
that problem.

Thank you I didn't really know what was going on with it. That is why I
checked Norton right off the bat. I wish there was a way to lower the
background noise so it does not cover up JAWS though.

All JAWS users,
First of all I want to ask if anyone else has ever experienced a noise
such
as a pac man game playing when starting Google? I then scrolled down
and

seen a link that said insert coin. I did not click on the link one
because
with that annoying noise playing it was difficult to understand JAWS so
I
was more concerned with trying to find out how to stop it. I checked my
Norton and it said I was protected. Can anyone enlighten me on what
this

is
and whether there is a way to stop it? Also after the noise is done I
guess
I gotten eaten because after that all I heard was a siren like sound.
Any
knowledge on this matter would be appreciated greatly. I was using
Internet
Explorer 8 and JAWS 10 with a dell laptop 1545 OS is XP professional
this
information may not be needed but I like to provide more information
than
necessary just in case. Thank you all for your assistance.

Hello, was wondering what mapping a network drive means? I see this
option

when I hit the applications key, and was curious about it. Could someone
please explain it to me, and how I could do it? Thanks.

Re: [JAWS-Users] mapping network drive?

2010-05-22 Thread Mobeen Iqbal
Hi. The map a network drive allows you to give a network ddrive a letter
location on your computer. Lets say that you have another pc in your
house. there is a shared folder on there called music. Normally, you
could access this using run by typing in backslash backslash computer
name, backslash music. But using the mapped drive option, you could give
the music folder on the other computer, a letter in the my computer
folder on the pc you're using. So you'd click on the map a drive option,
type in the location of the folder on the other computer, select a
letter that you want this folder to use on your current computer, for
example M, and there we have it. When you press enter on music M: in my
computer, it will take you to the music folder on the other computer.

I hope i've explained this well enough... it was only meant to be a
brief outline, let me know if you need any clarification.

Mo.
