For instance, all mail from this list may be best described as "Where the To refers to Some People". Press a space bar to highlight this condition. 5. If the folders do not reflect your mood or the way you want to mirror the subject, you can tab to "NEW..." to create a new folder, The highlight will be placed on your newly created folder. After this press OK. After this step that involves so much, tab to the last field. 7. This step is optional: you are asked to give your rule a name: you can type in any sensible name that reflects the main content of the mails you are moving to this folder, for example "Blind computing" for mails from this list. Then press OK. From now on, all mails matching your conditions will be directed to this folder. Re: [JAWS-Users] MESSAGE RULES
Hi Josh; Pay close attention to rule #18. You have to delete or backspace out New Rule1 or what ever it says before typing in what you want to name your message rule. Also, don't press escape after applying your message rule. Follow the rules below when you get to the point of applying your rule. 20. Tab to Apply Now and hit enter. 21. This step I'm not certain of. You may be able to tab past this and go on to the next step. Another screen here and you should tab to Select all button and press space bar 22. Tab until you see or hear Apply to Folder Inbox. Hit enter. 23. You will be given a message that your rules have been applied. Hit enter. 24. Tab to close and press enter 25. You are now in the mail rules page again and you should tab to OK and hit enter. > you are now finished. Hope this helps. Take care. Re: [JAWS-Users] Voice profiles?
Hi Press enter on that file in My Documents (the one you downloaded from the web). It will start installing. Follow the guide on screen: for example, being asked whether you are sure you want to install the voice. After installation, JAWS wil tell you that you need to restart your system. Do so. When you restart, you will see your new voice as one of the listed profiles. - Original Message - From: "Pedro Romero" To: Sent: Thursday, June 24, 2010 9:24 PM Subject: Re: [JAWS-Users] Voice profiles? Re: [JAWS-Users] MESSAGE RULES
Hi Try this: 1. Go to Tools in OE. 2. Arrow to Message Rules, there is a submenu. 3. Select Mail, and press Enter. 4. The first box lists all the possible conditions: pick one that best fits the mail to be affected. For instance, all mail from this list may be best described as "Where the To refers to Some People". Press a space bar to highlight this condition. 5. Tab to the next group of actions: here the action refers to what OE must do with the mail fitting the condition so chosen. From this, choose one action, for example "Move to the Folder". 6. Tab to the next field where you get a summary of your choices: Use your arrow keys to the line that reads the condition: press the Enter key while the cursor is on this line. An editable field would open where you must enter an address of people to be addressed. If you are not sure of the addresses, you can choose to get this info from your address book. Click OK. Next, arrow to the line that highlights the action: while the cursor is on this line, press the Enter key as you did with the condition. This time, OE will open a folder list dialog where you have to pick one folder where those mails must be moved to. Re: [JAWS-Users] How can I set IE8 so Jaws starts off in the Webpage pane instead of title bar
Could this be what started happening to me using JAWS 10 after updating to the latest JAWS 11? Did FS change something in the Common software? ever since the last JAWS 11 update I often have my focus go somewhere strange. It occurs when opening certain websites, when my JAWS script opens a page in a new window, and when I use Tab browsing! For instance, if I am scanning through an RSS feed using the '2' quick navigation key, find a headline I am interested in, then I press Control + Enter to open that link in the background. I use this method so I can skim through all of the headlines then read all of the articles of interst later. Now, after activating the link, the focus goes away! I have found if I press Tab the focus moves to the address bar. Pressing Shift + Tab will move back to the activated link location! This is extremely annoying! First of all, if you press CTRL+9 you will move the focus directly to the web page. This will often work faster than using f6 or tabbing. You can set Internet Explorer to open in full screen mode. Choose full screen under the view menu and then close the browser. When you open the browser again, it will be running in full screen mode. However, I found that when using a blank starting page the focus still went to the address bar. When using a web page that isn't blank in full screen mode the focus went to the body of the page as you would expect. In full screen mode you can still access menus and use hotkeys. You can also use F11 to turn on full screen mode. You can run the browser in Kiosk mode. In Kiosk mode most hotkeys will work but you cannot access a menu bar. However, when a blank page is your starting page, it will load as expected and not go directly to the address bar. Use the run dialog box to use the Kiosk mode. Use Windows key+R to bring up the run dialog box. Type in "IExplore -K" without the quotes. If you press enter you will be taken to your start page. If the page is blank there will be nothing to access. Again, you can use hotkeys to open pages and perform other actions but you won't be able to use the menu bar. There is a context menu with limited choices on it when in Kiosk mode. In the run dialog box you can also follow the IExplore -K command with a space and a specific address to open. You might find that just pressing CTRL+f9 will work for what you are wanting to do. Take care. Using Jaws 11 on both an XP as well as a Win7 PC, each time I start up IE8 (which is set to 'blank' as my home page for faster loading of IE8), type a URL to go to upon loading that web page the JAWS virtual PC cursor always lands on the title bar. Then I have to tab few times to go through the tool bar, menu bar, the annoying bing default bar and such before I can actually land on the web page pane and start to read the page. How can I set either IE8 or JAWS11 so the virtual PC cursor lands directly on the web page pane so I can start reading the page right away?
