Al,

keystroke. They are typically named pretty reasonably, so it isn't
too difficult to find them.

I also tend to cheat a lot because I use cygwin, which is a linux like

[JAWS-Users] sound card issue on Win XP via Bootcamp

2011-03-05 Thread Jorge Paez
Hi all:
I installed JAWS 11 and Win XP pro SP 3 on my mac via bootcamp and notice the
system volume is extremely
low.
I checked the sounds volume and its at 100%.
However I can't hear JAWS without wearing a headset.

Does anyone know weather JAWS or Windows XP have some sort of issue with the
Mac Book Pro Feb. 2010 model sound cards?

Thanks,

 Hi,
Here's what I did when I couldn't figure that one out.
1. CTRL pannel and in the search field typed in notification.
2. tabbed until I heard notification area ICONS link and pressed enter.
3. After pressing enter you should land on an ok button.
4. I tabbed until I heard list windows explorer combo box and made sure it
was set on to show icons and notifications.
If you would like to verify this is where you need to be just route jaws to
pc and read down one line when you are on the windows explorer combobox and
it should read safely remove hard ware and eject media.
5. I tabbed over to the ok button and pressed spacebar.
Hope this helps.

A few months ago I installed the lagtest upgrade for Microsoft Security
Essentials. Since then, I have noticed that my Toshiba laptop is taking a

to be turned off? If so, any information would be most appreciated.
Otherwise, MSE is performing perfectly.

I just went to the c-clener homepage and found the slim version of
c-cleaner build 3.04 available for download.

For anyone intersted, here is the direct download link:

http://www.piriform.com/ccleaner/download/slim/downloadfile

This should always get you the latest available slim build version.
Thus I would recommend turningoff automatic updates in c-cleaner
and manually downloading the update when it becomes available.

2011-03-05 Thread Rick Justice

Hi Hans,
dbxtract is for extracting e-mails from the .dbx folders in Outlook Express.
You can find more information at:

Hi.

If it's for importing tthe dbx folders from Outlook Express, both Windows
mail for Vista, and Windows Live Mail for Windows 7 should be able to
import this.

I would like to know if Dbxtract program can be used on Windows 7 and
Windows mail.
If this program is not accessible, is there another program similar to
Dbxtract that is usable?

Thank you for any suggestions.

[JAWS-Users] C-Cleaner slim Downoad Link

2011-03-05 Thread Doris and Chris
I do not remember if it was on this or another list that a few days
ago, the question of downloading the slim build (without toolbar)
for c-cleaner came up. Someone stated at the time that the slim build
was no longer available. AS with the previous build, it is but it is
just not posted immediately anymore when the new version is released.

I just went to the c-clener homepage and found the slim version of
c-cleaner build 3.04 available for download.

[JAWS-Users] IE8 AND OUTLOOK E-MAIL

2011-03-05 Thread Fred Adams
I just received a new computer and found that it has the latest version of jaws
but also windows 7 and outlook e-mail. I am not fimiliar at all with outlook
e-mail as I am having a hard time setting it up. I searched for help on this
but just couldn't find anything very helpful. I would appreciate it if someone
could tell me a good place to find this info.and could also give me some good
pointers. How do I get rid of the extra verbage, how can I find the BCC field?
How can I start an address book and use it? Things like this I would
appreciate so I can at least get started. I have gone through the menusand
changed what I thought was safe but some I am not sure of. I will appreciate
any help on or off the list. I prefer not to clutter the list to much. I am
using my old computer to send this. Thanks much,

Best wishes,
