Re: [JAWS-Users] iTunes Vs. Windows Media Player
Are you using iTunes on the Mac side? Most people use iTunes to have access to content that they can purchase to play either on their PC, or to transfer to an I device, such as an iPod or Iphone. I see no advantage to putting iTunes on the Windows side, and I wonder if you really can do it anyway. Re: [JAWS-Users] PDF Creation
You can do this quite easily. First, what word processor are you using to create the document? If it is Microsoft Word, there should be a save-as option, allowing you to change file formats. Also, if you highlight the file name in your documents folder, and press alt-F, there should be an option to create PDF. Let me know if this was helpful. I have successfully used Reply Direct to Sender, with JAWS12 and outlook Express. In the message whose sender you're about to reply directly to, press JAWS+Shift+r. then (and only then) maximize the window. Not maximizing at that juncture may result in your message going to the list instead of the sender. - Original Message - From: lmorris1...@gmail.com To: jaws-users-list@jaws-users.com Sent: Wednesday, March 09, 2011 10:26 PM Subject: Re: [JAWS-Users] replying directly to sender? Re: [JAWS-Users] PDF Creation
Hi Melissa, I am using word XP, , there was no reference to PDF in the save as dialog. I think in order to create a PDF document I need additional software. -Original Message- From: jaws-users-list-boun...@jaws-users.com [mailto:jaws-users-list-boun...@jaws-users.com] On Behalf Of Melissa Sent: Wednesday, March 09, 2011 2:57 PM To: jaws-users-list@jaws-users.com Subject: Re: [JAWS-Users] PDF Creation You can do this quite easily. First, what word processor are you using to create the document? If it is Microsoft Word, there should be a save-as option, allowing you to change file formats. Also, if you highlight the file name in your documents folder, and press alt-F, there should be an option to create PDF. Let me know if this was helpful. [JAWS-Users] cannot keep a checkbox unchecked
I have read the F.S. recommended settings for display, using XP. I am trying to follow the directions for task bar and start menu, because I think that these directions might help to show all my system tray items. The directions say to go on task bar part of the task bar and start menu page, and hit alt G and make sure this is unchecked. Then it says to press alt H and uncheck that too. I don't know why, but unchecking these items doesn't seem to work. I open the page again and both these items say checked. Why won't these stay unchecked, and what can I do to try and fix this very annoying problem? Thanks. [JAWS-Users] reply to sender windows 7 and wlm
Some time back I contacted fs because the script would not work. I was informed that it will not work with windows 7 and windows live mail. Actually the script is commented out and this is the comment: ;//Corrupts MSAA and causes false FormsMode ;//If you run this, you will have to repair or reinstall JAWS in order to use Windows Live Mail again. ;//This is because Windows Live will mess up MSAA on SetFocus to the body window. /*Begin commented script** Script ReplyDirectlyToSender () --- Please visit my home page, it is motivational, educational, inspirational with a touch of humor. [JAWS-Users] Windows Messenger not reading incoming messages
Hi guys, I'm using Jaws 12 with XP and I'm having some Windows Messenger issues. First, Jaws is not speaking incoming messages automatically. I have to use Alt 1 to read them. Additionally, I am not hearing sounds to indicate an incoming or outgoing message. I have the appropriate options checked regarding sounds. Any suggestions?
