Re: [JAWS-Users] settings not saving?
Hi Kliphton, If you are only making one change in the settings center. You just need to press the OK button when you are done to save the changes. If you are making two or more changes in the settings center, then you need to press the apply button each time you make a change, then when you are finished press the OK button to save all changes. I hope this helps. Hi Susie; To zip a file do the following; 1. Find & highlight but, do not open the file you want to zip. 2. Press your applications / context menu key. 3. Arrow down to, Sent to submenu, & press enter. Or, you can press the letter, N, after pressing the applications / context menu key. 4. Press enter on, Compressed (zipped) Folder. This copies & zips the folder, then you should be able to find the zipped file at the bottom of the list of folders / files of whatever folder / file you are working in. Hi All. I hope it is ok to ask this as I am no longer in the AccessUK Group but I am changing internet provider to BT and want to save my contacts. I am using Windows Live Mail and don’t even know how to read the contacts addresses I have saved – I tried to copy and paste them into a document but they don’t seem to copy in. Mandy. Re: [JAWS-Users] .RAR file how to make one
Howdy Rick; I was just curious on how they were made. I was playing around with 7Zip & didn't notice an option in there on making a .RAR file so when I googled how to make a .RAR file, it was suggested in 1 of the posts' that 7Zip would do this task but, it doesn't. What I ultimately wanted to do was to create a .RAR file so I could type up a set of steps on how to extract the files from .RAR files using 7Zip. Thank you for your helpful information. Take care. Some archiving programs will open multiple types of files, but will only create ones that are native to the program itself. Re: [JAWS-Users] replying directly to sender?
It don't matter what email client you use. You still have to be on the email you want to reply to. All the short cut key does is start the new email and who its replieing to. That is why i use Eudora. No weird modifier keys and it does what you command it to do! you don't even have to jump through hoops for your attachments. They are in a folder just waiting for you. - Original Message - From: "Kliphton Senior" To: Sent: Thursday, March 10, 2011 3:00 PM Subject: Re: [JAWS-Users] replying directly to sender? Not in previous version, you just hit jaws key r and shift and it was done, didn't have to make sure of anything. What would be the point of the command if you have to make sure the address was highlighted, that would defeat the purpose of the command. -Original Message- From: jaws-users-list-boun...@jaws-users.com [mailto:jaws-users-list-boun...@jaws-users.com] On Behalf Of Glenn Lemacher Sent: Wednesday, March 09, 2011 5:23 PM To: jaws-users-list@jaws-users.com Subject: Re: [JAWS-Users] replying directly to sender? For example, I just went to the Do Not Call Registry looking for the telephone registration number, and I got a 1-800- Is this a Jaws issue, an Internet Explorer issue, or are WebPages specifically trying to keep us from telephone them?
