Try the scripts found at: www.scripts.pontes.ro After the page is loaded, pres H until you find the Yahoo Scripts heading. Re: [JAWS-Users] help with yahoo messenger and jaws 11 not readingthe messageand typing windos.
Reinstall Yahoo Messenger. After installing Yahoo Messenger, Don't launch it until you do a Windows restart. Sometimes the exe file is named Yahoo! and script are not seen by JAWS as the corresponding one. You can check if that's the problem, pressing Insert 0 when cursor is positioned on Yahoo Messenger window. If the script manager load the scripts, it means something else it's the problem, if the page loaded is empty, it means that's the problem, what I said above. [JAWS-Users] webvisum log in problem
Hello, I would like to know about the webvisum add-on of firefox. Since couple of months, I was using this add-on successfully. Very recently, after getting formatted my computer I have again installed the firefox version 3.5 and downloaded the webvisum and tried to log in with my old account. But to my surprise, after inserting the log in details in firefox/tools menu/add-on/webvisum preferences/general tab and pressing space bar on option button in this tab page, despite giving my log in details as used by me earlier I could not get the message “you are loged in to webvisum ok button” on restarting the firefox. I was getting this loged in message earlier but now I am unable to log in to webvisum. So could anyone suggest me any trouble shooting procedure for my problem as mentioned above. Also please do let me know as to: 1 Am I right in following the steps to get the log in to webvisum? 2 do I need to follow any additional steps to log in to webvisum as per any current changes made to webvisum by developer of this add-on? Your response in this regard is highly solicited. Thanks, For answers to frequently asked questions about this list visit: http://www.jaws-users.com/help/

[JAWS-Users] Extending The Display Time For Popup Messages in Windows 7
Extending The Display Time For Popup Messages in Windows 7 If you're annoyed by the fact that those popup notifications disappear before you can get to them these instructions should help. In Windows 7, it is possible to change a setting whereby you can tell Windows to keep its notification dialogues, such as help balloons, open for up to five minutes. To do this: 1. Press Windows-U to open the Ease of Access Centre. 2. Tab to and activate the link, Use the computer without a display. 3. Tab to and focus to the combo box, How long should windows notification dialogues stay open for. 4. Use your up and down arrow keys to set the number of seconds or minutes. 5. Tab to and activate the button, ok. 6. Close Ease Of Access Centre. Note When you open Ease Of Access Centre, you may hear speech from Narrator. This is normal. It sounds like your Webvisum extension has not been enabled. Go to Tools Add-Ons, switch to the extensions tab, select the Webvisum extension in the list and press Tab. The Webvisum no longer seems to be automatically enabled when it is installed. Another good way to check whether you are logged in is to go to Tools Webvisum and arrow up. There will be log in and log out options. If the log in option is unavailable. you are logged in. *Don Marang* Vinux Software Development Coordinator - vinuxproject.org http://www.vinuxproject.org/ There is just so much stuff in the world that, to me, is devoid of any real substance, value, and content that I just try to make sure that I am working on things that matter. -- Dean Kamen On 4/26/2011 5:07 AM, korbamukesh wrote: Hello, I would like to know about the webvisum add-on of firefox. Re: [JAWS-Users] Excel set match not fixed
I had difficulty with the new JAWS RC release. After installation, I could do nothing in Excel 2010 except get to the ribbons! They have totally revamped JAWS for Excel. It is not sluggish anymore. I also noticed nice changes, such as announcing when you are entering different title regions and the region is announced when in the verbosity settings dialog. If you always set the row and column titles through the verbosity settings dialog, press Space on the title override option to get the override for all files option. This should only need to be done once. Them, you should only need to open this dialog on the desired cell and set which titles are wanted and press Space on the row and / or column option to set this cell. *Don Marang* Vinux Software Development Coordinator - vinuxproject.org http://www.vinuxproject.org/ There is just so much stuff in the world that, to me, is devoid of any real substance, value, and content that I just try to make sure that I am working on things that matter. -- Dean Kamen On 4/26/2011 12:26 PM, Dave Maynard wrote: In Eric's post of 4/20/2011, under MS Excel appears the following. * JAWS now saves workbook specific settings the first time a JSI file is created using the Best Match option. [JAWS-Users] Marking multiple files using jaws?
Hi All. I have an interesting question. I've tried the file manager listed on the programs page but it didn't quite do what i wanted it to do. what i'm looking for is a simple way of marking multiple files in a list individually then moving them to a folder. lets say i have 100 files and i want to mark 25 files individually and they're not in order. i can't use standard keyboard shortcuts such as shift down/up arrow as that would select the files going down/upwards in the list. so my question is simply is there an easy way of marking a number of specific files in a list? an example of this would be if in an ideal world each file was a check box and i'd just tick the ones i wanted to copy by pressing space then copy them all at the end. I hope that all makes sense and hope that someone can offer a program/sollution. Many thanks, Mo. For answers to frequently asked questions about this list visit: http://www.jaws-users.com/help/

Hi Mo; The only way I know of to select non-contiguous files is to start at the top of the list, arrow down the list when you find the first file you want hold down the control key, while holding down the control key, arrow down the list while keeping the control key pressed, and pressing the spacebar on each file you want selected. Re: [JAWS-Users] Editing headers and footers in word 2007
To find/create/edit headers and footers in Word 2003, try: 1. Press and hold the Alt Key and tap the letter v. Release both keys. 2. Tap the letter h. 3. This will put you in the header/footer section so you can create or edit as desired. 4. If you up/down arrow, you will hear JFW say header or footer. This alerts you as to cursor position. If you want to create a header, make sure you hear JAWS announce that, and of course make sure you hear JFW say footer to do the opposite. 5. When finished with creating/editing, repeat steps 1 and 2. This lands you back in the main document. Be sure to save any changes at that point. Re: [JAWS-Users] tandem problem
Amazingly enough I haven't tried using tandem this week yet at all which for me is quite strange. Some weeks it's almost every day, to be honest I am enjoying the break. Re: [JAWS-Users] can some one help me with this website?unzipping.rarfiles with JAWS?
Hi Susie, Yes, I know that you have a .rar file, and that is known as a file archive. Within that archive, is the file you actually want, and until you open the archive, you don't know what type of file is inside. Once you know what type of file is inside, then we can tell you whether or not it can be used on your Victor Stream. What you were trying to download, is a program that will open .rar files. Are you with me so far?
