I am able to login just fine. I did not attempt to reset my password.
It seems they display some fancy animation on about every page. The
page itself loads slow. Then for at least 60 to 90 seconds all I can
get to is the Flash start and end announcements. Just wait a minute or
two, then press Insert + Escape to refresh the window. It then operates
normally for me.

If I have my jaws verbosity set to advanced, I do not hear how many unread
messages are in any one folder in outlook 2007. I would like to keep my
verbosity set to advanced, so is there any way to have jaws tell me how many
unread messages are in a folder? Jim

I would uninstall skype completely and then reinstall avoiding the

After Skype 3.8, Skype underwent significant changes in its architecture
such that, for a long time, versions of Skype didn't work as well as 3.8
did with JAWS. Now, however, Skype version 5.xx works excellently with

Hi,

Is there a way using the keyboard to click on the close button
whenever IE or JAWS crashes and it brings up a dialog saying
something like IE has crashed and please click on the close button
to close this application. JAWS stops speaking when either it or IE
crashes. I have to get someone sighted to click for me on the close
button and then I'm ok. I am unable to start or exit jaws using the
keyboard shortcuts for it. I've tried loading NVDA but that won't
load when the crash dialog is on screen for some reason.

Thank you,

2011-05-10 Thread Doris and Chris

at

www.oldapps.com

you will find just about any version of skype ever released. They
only have the regular windows and not the business version, though.

Thanks, Flor. Someone else said that 5.0 worked well, but that 5.1 to 5.3
worked less well. All I could find on the Skype site though was 5.3. I was
hoping to hear more info and opinions before installing anything, so thanks
much for your feedback.

[To bring this into accord with list rules I have introduced a subject
line for this reply and thread.]

After Skype 3.8, Skype underwent significant changes in its architecture
such that, for a long time, versions of Skype didn't work as well as 3.8
did with JAWS. Now, however, Skype version 5.xx works excellently with
practically all usable JAWS versions.

I don't think I am off topic here but I am certain I will be told so by the
powers that be if I am! (smile) I heard a report that Microsoft just bought
Skype. What do you think this means for Jaws users? Do you think Skype will
be more accessible or do you think not much will change? I welcome your
thoughts. Thanks.

Re: [JAWS-Users] a problem with jaws 12 and outlook 2007.

2011-05-10 Thread Gary Patterson
Jim, When I navigate down the folder list, JAWS tells me how many messages
are unread and perhaps the total. When I tap the space bar, I usually am put
in the list of messages for that folder. If you need, I could lookup my
settings. I don't think my usage of Outlook 2010 has anything to do with
processing the folders and messages since I have always have been using
Outlook for some good long time. Perhaps I used Outlook 2007; history
becomes a fog after a while.

Hi All, I am running windows 7, jaws 12, latest update, outlook 2007, on a
64 bit machine. Here's the problem.

If I have my jaws verbosity set to advanced, I do not hear how many unread
messages are in any one folder in outlook 2007. I would like to keep my
verbosity set to advanced, so is there any way to have jaws tell me how many
unread messages are in a folder? Jim
