And exactly how do you contact Google? I haven't been able to find any contact information for them anywhere. No email address or phone number. When you visit their contact page, you are then directed to their help center, but this provide no email addresses or phone numbers. You just go around in circles and eventually give up in frustration. Oh, I did find a page for praising a specific Google product, but notfor criticizing it. Very sneaky. Obviously, they are not interested in hearing user feedback or complaints. If anyone has found Google's email address or phone number, please post it for the rest of us. Re: [JAWS-Users] Turning off tab anouncement in jaws!
Hi Paul, Try the following; To change this setting press, Insert / Jaws Key + V, press the letter T, until you land on TAB Measurement Indication - On, then press the space bar to turn it off. This option controls whether to indicate the new measurement from the left margin when the TAB key is pressed. The default setting is On. Hope this helps. Take care. Okay, gang, I found Google's main phone number. It's 650-623-. For those of you with Skyte or unlimited long distance who don't mind being placed on hold forever, you can give them a call a register your complaint about the lack of accessibility on the Search Settings page. [JAWS-Users] an accessible add block software for IE9?
hi all, I was on the JFWLITE.COM looking for an add block software. I came across a piece of software I've also used in the past found very helpful, named addshield. I tried to visit the software homepage, however, it was unavailable. seems the company's gone out of business. an effort to look through search engines came up with nothing! any ideas? also, could you suggest any add block filter software for IE9 on windows7 ultimate? if possible, I also want to be able to block the text adds that flash into inline frames, such as Google addsense adds much more. thank you, bharat. Re: [JAWS-Users] Adobe Flash
Hi Larry, Are you having a problem with installing Adobe Flash or, the Adobe Flash update? If you're having a problem installing the update, below are some notes I've saved. From: Flor Lynch florl...@iol.ie Mike, How do you *know* the first steps of pressing the 'button', then pressing the i button and pressing it again, didn't work? Did you get an error message? It would be important to know that message, if you did. You won't really get a confirmation message if successful. Next time you are asked to install Adobe Flash updates, try toggling Screen Echo to All text - insert+s. Unless the accessibility is changed, With the above-mentioned buttons pressed in sequence, you'll hear percentages along the way. Also remember, the i button (when highlighted) is probably the one to go with. If you mistakenly press the Q button, you'll quit. (These buttons are in a tab dialogue.) Flor From: Chris Hallsworth Hi all, By guesswork I am able to install flash myself. The one that just says button is the important one. Press this, then press the i button. When done press the i button again. Hope this helps. Signed by Chris Hallsworth From: Scorpio Forever scorpio...@gmail.com Hi All, You can bypass this problem by going to the Adobe website, and installing the latest version from the website after entering on the accessibility link at the top or bottom of every page. Entering on those links takes you to an accessible version of the site, and lets you install the latest version of the Flash and PDF viewer. Just thought everyone should know. [JAWS-Users] Uninstalling versions of JAWS?
I still haven't figured out the voices in 13.0. Now that my wifi issues are resolved. On my second computer, I down loaded the 13 from the web and it went very well, just like in the past. However, on my main computer, the voice of 13 is much different than original on 12.0. and, it skips. I originally used the disc to install so, I uninstalled 13.0 and re installed from the web. There was no difference with the skipping voice. In, add/remove, I saw both the 13.0 version and the install voice, for 13.0. I assume I need to remove both of these in order to re install? Also, on the computer that does not go well, there was an option to modify, repair or cancel during the install. I clicked on modify. Is that correct? I am afraid to hit repair. Oh, I checked on the 13.0 to make sure that eloquence is the default. Thanks for your help and patience.
