[JAWS-Users] daily term
Daily Term: strained silicon A process developed by IBM and announced in June 2001 whereby a microchip's silicon is stretched so that the atoms that make up the silicon are aligned. This results in silicon with rows of aligned atoms, which lets electrons flow at speeds up to 70% faster than nonstretched (or nonstrained) silicon. This, in turn, enables the microchips that use strained silicon to operate up to 35% faster than ordinary microchips. Re: [JAWS-Users] Multiple Selection in A List Box Problems
Hello Joy, I think maybe what is happening is that jaws activates the list box when you enter it and then if you pressed the space bar it deactivates the list box so if you try all the steps without the first step of pressing the space bar it may work. Good luck, hope this helps. The latest pc and laptops I've seen this on are Dell's and the Lite will only do a system recovery media and they are trying to get you to buy the fully pledged program which will allow you to do other backups. I strongly suggest you don't buy the upgraded version as it is likely to be inaccessible. Re: [JAWS-Users] How to edit the list of acceptable words I've added to the MS Outlook and MS Word spell check ?
Using Office 2010, but I suspect the procedure is the same to do this: press alt+t, then o for the old-fashioned keystroke, or press alt+f and arrow to Options. I don't remember the Quick Access Key, but in 2010 it is T. If you arrowed to it, press enter. In the resulting list of categories, arrow to Proofing, then tab. Now, press alt+c dor tab to Custom Dictionaries and press space. Finally tab to Edit Word List and press enter. I don't use outlook 2007 but WLM so since no one has answered this as of yet. . . I go to the list of messages and leave it closed Then I tap the application key and up arrow to add contactand enter The other way to do it in WLM is control shift c for contact which used to be control shift b for address book in Outlook express.
