Hi Nicole, 2 methods. These presume you are using Windows Explorer in Windows 7, and have focus on the desired file name. Press shift+applications key, which brings up a list of options, then arrow down to "Copy as Path". Hit enter on that, and the full file path will be copied to the clipboard with no feedback from Jaws. If you just want the file name, then press F2, then highlight the file name using shift and an arrow key, do the control+C to copy to the clipboard, then ***very importantly, press escape to drop out of that edit field, as F2 is used to change file names. Just a note on this. In Windows 7, when you press the F2 key, the name of the file is highlighted, but not the dot 3 extension, so in that case, control + C would do the job. If you wish to have the name including the file extension, pressing shift + end before control + C would work. And as already mentioned, be sure to press Escape to close the edit box. [JAWS-Users] convenient OCR, is not working
Hi all. I am getting a weird situation in my computer home. In my work I don't use very often the convenient OCR, but I activate it pressing insert space bar, and later O. Jaws says OCR, and press enter. But at home when I press insert space bar, and O, jaws says OCR, but when I press enter, make a sound like something is not well, and anything else happen. Hello, I was just curious with those who use gw connect. With the latest build of jaws 14 is anyone having issues with reading what is on the screen using the latest build of jaws? Reading what's on the screen such as your contacts and such. Maybe it's just me, but with the latest build, something went wonky but when I turn on Window Eyes or NVDA, I can read the contents after logging into gw connect, so I am not thinking it's a gw connect thing.. Hi All, I've been using IE 9 with Jaws 13 for a while. Today, everytime I go to a different website, Jaws says notification bar requires response; press alt n. It sounds like you may need to call FS. I think at one time you could do a repair without the CD but not now, though as I said before, I could be wrong. I had hit alt n several times ,at several different sites and Jaws didn't say anything different and would just repeat the notification bar requires response message at the next site. After your email, I hit alt n and used the Jaws cursor to see if I had missed something. There was a button to explore downloads. I don't know why that happened, but now IE seems to be back to normal. Don't know how that happened either, but it's a good thing. hey guys. I am looking a web site that talks about section 508, but I see things that are not pretty accessible here. I came to this web site by the freedom scientific, but this web site has things that open menues, but jaws is not able to select anything on the menues, and either leave the menu.
