Hi Negoslav
Audacity has been release the 2.0 searies. It works more better then than
1.x version. You can get the guide for the 2.x version from
http://vip.chowo.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/jaws/Audacity-2.0.3-Guide.html

Hi David
1. You can split the record to multiple clip by the folowing step Move
cursor to the place where you want to split Press shift+K to select
from that position to the end of track Press Ctrl+Alt+i or go to menu
edit -clip boundaries -slit new.
The sound within selection will be cut, and move to a new track. If
you want to export that part to seperate file, then go to file menu
and choose export multiple.
2. The project file is the way of audacity to save your editting audio
to work later do to the multi track recording and editting feature.
User could record narration, adds backround music, and if they want,
they can change the backround music.

How if it is even possible do you split up an audio file if say you

Also what in the world is an audacity project file and what purpose
does it serve? That I have been avoiding as it does not seem to be a

I am not going to even consider becoming overly versed in this

[JAWS-Users] page loading very slow

I do not understand since I have the new router things were going fairly good

takes an hour but several minutes. Other pages are instant. Any ideas on where

Now my rant, I have worked on an IBM 1400, RCA Spectra 70, Burroughs 5500,6500,

Hi,

You mentioned that weatherbug.com is one of your start pages.

You also mentioned that other pages are loading normally.

If you have a lot of pages opened at the same time I guess that one would be
slow to load.

The next time this type of problem occurs, try clearing your browser's

If only one page is loading slowly, the problem is most likely not your
router.

Again some times a simple clearing of the browser's cache is enough to fix
slow loading pages.

isn't,

this is just for my sanity's sake and to gauge my reading comprehension.

Is this a complete listing of all the changes in the various Jaws

I didn't see any mention of resolving the issues currently faced by people

Like I said, not criticizing, just wanting to know if I missed it or

Does this happen with all versions of JAWS? Is it possible that the latest
update to JAWS 14 caused this dialog box to suddenly start popping up?

Subject: [JAWS-Users] Scanning With Openbook From MS Word

 Hi All,

I'm running XP Pro, Openbook 7 latest, Office 2002, Jaws 10 thru 14.
 When
I scan a document from Word using the scan with Openbook option from the
file menu in Word I get the following convert file dialog:

 Convert File dialog
 Convert file from:
 Plain Text
 Encoded Text
 Rich Text Format (RTF)
 HTML Document
 Web Archive
 Lotus 1-2-3
 Microsoft Excel Worksheet
 MS-DOS Text with Layout
 OK Cancel

I don't know for sure when this convert file started appearing but, it has
been very recent I did not get this dialog before. Can anyone tell me
 why
I'm getting it all of a sudded how or what I need to do to keep it from
appearing whenever I do a scan through the MS Word file menu? All help
 will
be appreciated immensely ! Thank you all very much.

 Take care.
 Mike

Try looking in programs and features. See if there are any tool bars
installed and remove. They like to delay web pages.

Another thing you might try is removing cookies and history and temp
files. You will find it in the browser tools menu. Should be the
first choice you come to in the list. Sometimes a bad cookie or temp
file can make web pages act funny.

Although this might come off as a criticism of Freedom Scientific, it
isn't,

this is just for my sanity's sake and to gauge my reading comprehension.

Is this a complete listing of all the changes in the various Jaws

I didn't see any mention of resolving the issues currently faced by people

Like I said, not criticizing, just wanting to know if I missed it or

[JAWS-Users] page coming up very slow

2013-08-10 Thread Lenny McHugh
Now I totally am at a loss. The weatherbug.com page did not come up using I.e.
10. So I just tried Firefox. Again it did not come up. I asked my wife to use
her laptop and the page was almost instant.
I am getting to hate pcs even more. This is win 7 32 bit machine and a new
modem/router connecting at 7.5 mg dsl.So the problem is not with I.e. or
Firefox. Any suggestions on where to look? You are all too far away to hear the
crash when it goes out the 2nd story window.
