Re: [JAWS-Users] download manager that works well with jaws

2013-10-04 Thread Mohammad Mehdi Farahmand

Hi Rich!

Internet Download Manager (IDM) is an easy to use tool to increase
download speeds by up to 500 percent, resume and schedule downloads.
According to the opinions of IDM users Internet Download Manager is a
perfect accelerator program to download your favorite software, games,
cd, dvd and mp3 music, movies, shareware and freeware programs much faster!

Internet Download Manager has a built-in download logic accelerator that
features intelligent dynamic file segmentation and safe multipart
downloading technology to accelerate your downloads. Unlike other
download accelerators and managers that segment files before downloading
starts, Internet Download Manager segments downloaded files dynamically
during download process. Internet Download Manager also reuses available
connections without additional connect and login stages to achieve
better acceleration performance.

Comprehensive error recovery and resume capability will also restart
broken or interrupted downloads due to lost connections, network
problems, computer shutdowns, or unexpected power outages. Simple
graphic user interface makes IDM user friendly and easy to use.

Internet Download Manager has wide customization capabilities,
downloadable skins, visual XP styles, multilingual interface, and
supports proxy servers, FTP, HTTP and HTTPS protocols, firewalls, file
redirects, cookies, directories with authorization, ZIP preview,
categories, MP3 audio and MPEG video content processing and a large
number of server platforms. IDM integrates seamlessly into Microsoft
Internet Explorer, Netscape, AOL, MSN Explorer, Opera, and Mozilla
browsers to automatically handle your downloads. You can also drag and
drop files or use Internet Download Manager from command line. Internet
Download Manager can dial your modem at the set time, download the files
you want, then hang up or even shut down your computer when it's done.

The site grabber feature of Internet Download Manager not only lets you
download required files that are specified with filters, for example all
pictures from a web site, or all audio files from a web site, but it
also lets you download subsets of web sites, or complete web sites for
mirroring or offline browsing. It's possible to schedule multiple
grabber projects to run them once at a specified time, stop them at a
specified time, or run periodically to synchronize changes.

Actually, A Jaws-script has written for IDM but I think It's not necessary.

For more information and download IDM You can visit
www.internetdownloadmanager.com.

Good luck!

[JAWS-Users] Goodbye MSE?

2013-10-04 Thread Gerald Levy

Check out the following web page for an interesting article that argues that it
may be time to give up on Microsoft Security Essentials and sswitch to another
anti-virus program. But if what the article says is true and MSE is no longer
effective, what other free JAWS-accessible anti-virus programs are still
available? Forget about Avast, which requires sighted help to uninstall, or
AVG which some users claim is no longer JAWS friendly. Are there any other
decent free anti-virus programs that work well with JAWS?

Unfortunately, getting sighted help to use an anti-virus program is not an
option for me and probably not for many other list members as well. So
unless someone can recommend an alternative to MSE that is still fully JAWS
accessible and is removable without sighted help, I'll stick with it because
some virus protection is better than none at all. And MSE is still the most
JAWS friendly anti-virus program available.

Unfortunately, getting sighted help to use an anti-virus program is not an
option for me and probably not for many other list members as well. So
unless someone can recommend an alternative to MSE that is still fully
JAWS
accessible and is removable without sighted help, I'll stick with it

JAWS friendly anti-virus program available.

Check out the following web page for an interesting article that argues

it may be time to give up on Microsoft Security Essentials and sswitch to
another anti-virus program. But if what the article says is true and MSE
is
no longer effective, what other free JAWS-accessible anti-virus programs

Comprehensive error recovery and resume capability will also restart
broken or interrupted downloads due to lost connections, network problems,

interface makes IDM user friendly and easy to use.

Internet Download Manager has wide customization capabilities,
downloadable skins, visual XP styles, multilingual interface, and supports
proxy servers, FTP, HTTP and HTTPS protocols, firewalls, file redirects,
cookies, directories with authorization, ZIP preview, categories, MP3
audio and MPEG video content processing and a large number of server
platforms. IDM integrates seamlessly into Microsoft Internet Explorer,
Netscape, AOL, MSN Explorer, Opera, and Mozilla browsers to automatically
handle your downloads. You can also drag and drop files or use Internet
Download Manager from command line. Internet Download Manager can dial
your modem at the set time, download the files you want, then hang up or
even shut down your computer when it's done.

The site grabber feature of Internet Download Manager not only lets you
download required files that are specified with filters, for example all
pictures from a web site, or all audio files from a web site, but it also
lets you download subsets of web sites, or complete web sites for
mirroring or offline browsing. It's possible to schedule multiple grabber
projects to run them once at a specified time, stop them at a specified
time, or run periodically to synchronize changes.

Actually, A Jaws-script has written for IDM but I think It's not
necessary.

Yeah, Chris, I saw the same thing. I also read some reviews about Ad-Aware
10.5, but although it seems to catch things pretty well, the review did
mention a dangerous feature that will clean your toolbars. The problem is
it deletes them and could leave your browser nonfunctional on some sites; I
also don't like that it changes your homepage and search engine to Lavasoft.

Nice to see you back on the list, you've given a lot of valuable advice over

Subject: Re: [JAWS-Users] Goodbye MSE?

Hi,
Personally, I have given up on trying to find decent antivirus
software that
works well with JAWS. Currently, I use Norton and I just get sited
assistance, when I need it, which is very seldom.
Thanks,
Scott Duck

Check out the following web page for an interesting article that
argues that
it may be time to give up on Microsoft Security Essentials and
sswitch to
another anti-virus program. But if what the article says is true and
MSE is
no longer effective, what other free JAWS-accessible anti-virus
programs are
still available? Forget about Avast, which requires sighted help to
uninstall, or AVG which some users claim is no longer JAWS friendly.
Are
there any other decent free anti-virus programs that work well with
JAWS?

Hello all,
I was about to put the same query. Does anyone know a solution? If
yes, please suggest. I'm in need of a song, which I'm not able to
hear. I need the song immediately.

With regards,
N. Sneha.

She has to do it under account settings. I think you can get there with
control-shift-o from what I remember.

Not having that problem with Youtube here using IE. But, System Access or
NVDA works better at accessing the buttons in the flash player.
