Mike,

CC 'carbon copy' means an exact copy as the To field. Your best bet
then

in Outlook Express appears to be to put the addresses you would've put
into the CC field into the BCC field instead. There, the recipient/s
may

not know if someone else got the message like them.

 Mike,

CC 'carbon copy' means an exact copy as the To field. Your best bet
 then
in Outlook Express appears to be to put the addresses you would've put
into the CC field into the BCC field instead. There, the recipient/s
 may
not know if someone else got the message like them.

Hello Mike,
When you create the new message tab backwards until you find a button that
says something like show bcc and cc fields. When these fields are hiden it
says show, but if they are there it says hide. I think this button is before
the select contacts.

I hope this helps.

Hi All,

For whatever reason I'm not receiving messages from this list a couple of
others but, I was able to view the replies from the Archives link.

What I want to do is totally hide the, CC field. When I open a new message
I don't want the CC or Bcc field showing. I only want the To Subject
fields to show. Unchecking the All Headers checkbox only hides the BCC
field the Alt + B keystroke only toggles the BCC field on / off. So, does
anyone know of a way to totally hide the CC field in Outlook Express or
Windows Mail when creating a new message? Thank you all very much for your
help replies

Re: [JAWS-Users] Hiding The CC Field

2013-12-07 Thread David Ferrin
In my humble opinion curiosity is where you begin to gain knowledge.

Think about it, when I first listened to Eric on the training tapes 17 years
ago which is probably longer than either he or I would care to admit I
noticed menu bars and such things. At that point the thought crossed my mind
to run screaming into the night, but then when the trauma subsided I decided
to explore various aspects of card file and other such programs. That's how
I started to gather all of the information I have obtained about windows
from 3.1 to the present day. Windows 8 notwithstanding since I don't have
it.

Even I have learned to stay out of some places as they aren't for the faint
of heart or even in some cases for the seasoned veteran.

[JAWS-Users] Jaws pernunciation?

2013-12-07 Thread Vicky Vaughan
Hi List, I like to read Star Trek novels on my Windows 7 desktop computer, with
Jaws14.

I have noticed over many versions of Windows and versions of Jaws, when it
reads the name of Docter McCoy, if I read, line by line, Jaws pronounces it
correctly, but, when Jaws is reading with its “Say All”, Jaws always says “M C
Coy”.

I have already entered the name in the Jaws Pronunciation dictionary.

Do any of you, know how I can make the “Say All” match the “Line by Line”
reading?

Any suggestions will be gratefully acted upon!

Sincerely, Vicky

Re: [JAWS-Users] What is the key command to turn on the Jaws cursor on a Laptop?

2013-12-07 Thread Vincent Chaney Jr.
Hi Scott,

I haven't noticed anyone addressing the basic point to using your Caps
Lock on a laptop. Have you set your Use Keyboard Layout to Laptop?
From within the Option menu in JAWS, press enter on the Basics...
Tab down approximately 7 times until you hear Use Keyboard Layout.
If you do not have the Laptop chosen, this is where you need to change to
make the Caps Lock work.
You can save it in 2 manners at this point. As the Okay is the default,
you can hit enter or press tab until you hear Okay and then hit enter.

FYI, even if you now use a USB Keyboard with your laptop, the Caps Lock
will continue to work as another JAWS Key. The Insert Key will continue to
work also as the JAWS Key...

HTH...

Vinny

[JAWS-Users] jaws and youtube

2013-12-07 Thread Jorge Paez
Hi all:

Just had a quick question.

When Igo to Youtube, to watch a video, I usually get the play button that I
have to select before the video will start playing.

However, some videos start playing on ther own, which is fine for me.

However, I noticed something strange a couple of days ago.

In one video which autoplayed, JAWS had trouble reading me the page.

Some how or other it partially crashed, meaning I had to close my Internet
Browser in order to recover JAWS functionality.

I reopened and tried it several times more but it still didn't work, so I
decided to just listen to the video till it ended and then used JAWS again
and that solved the issue.

Does anyone know whether this is a JAWS bug or an browser issue?

I'm using JAWS 15 with the latest Firefox.

Thanks,

Jorge

2013-12-07 Thread David Ferrin
A fellow trek person, I knew there was something special about you, sadly there
seems to be some discrepancy between the regular reading and the say all. I
will investigate it right now while my wife is making dinner.

Hi Again All,

Never mind my previous question, I found it. For those who would like to
know:
1. With IE open press, Alt + V, for the View menu.

2. Arrow down to the, Explorer bar submenu, press enter. Or, press, Alt +
V, then press the letter, E, to open the Explorer Bar submenu.
Take care.
