Re: [JAWS-Users] jaws on a thumb drive
Hi Go to http://www.freedomscientific.com/downloads/jaws/JAWS-MAGic-usb-drive.asp#download to read about the requirements of using JAWS on a thumb drive and download the thumb drive version of JAWS. Some limitations to using JAWS on a thumb drive are that the FS video intercept must be installed on the computer's hard drive and unless there is a JAWS authorization on that computer, you will be running in 40 minute demo mode. Also you will need the appropriate version of JAWS, 32 or 64 bit, that matches the computer you are using it on. Re: [JAWS-Users] out of table mode
Hi, I'm not sure exactly what you mean out of its table mode. If you have a table on a webpage, you can copy it into Word or into Excel and then do various things with it. For example, I just had a webpage table of contact info from which I needed to extract E-mail addresses for a group message. I copied the table into Excel. I then copied just the E-mail column and pasted that into Word. I then did a search and replace and replaced all the carriage returns with a semicolon and a space. I now have my list of E-mail addresses that I can paste into the send field of my E-mail. Sometimes you just have to get kind of creative. Re: [JAWS-Users] Using Gmail online
Hi Ann, If you go into your Gmail account on line, try looking in all mail. You might want to quickly check your inbox there, as well as the spam folder and the trash. Trash is emptied every 30 days, so if the original was sent longer ago than that, it won't be there, and I can't guaranty that it will be in the other folders I've suggested, but it might. I don't know how to navigate GMail online with Jaws. I tried settings, create a filter, using to and subject fields test filter ... I get nothing under where Gmail tells me my search criteria. I am giving up. I would love my online Gmail in box to list all my messages similar to Outlook. I wonder if any tutorials for Jaws with Online Gmail? I would love to sort by different fields like I do in Outlook Express. GMail tells me that Internet Explorer is outdated but I don't wish to upgrade. Besides I heard that upgraded IE versions greater than 8 don't work with XP. I know that I need to upgrade OS but not ready yet. It helps here to distinguish between updates and upgrades. This one is an update, i.e., an update within the JAWS15 general version, or a patch to an existing JAWS15 version.
