Re: [JAWS-Users] VIPRE Antivirus Adjustment
Enabled, Not Available, means that it is not available to be disabled. I am not running Vipre right now, but I did for years, and as I remember, wwhen you open the program, you are on the scan tab, and it is either here, or in the file menu, ALT + F, that you find the enable button or check box. Then the first item under the Firewall tab allows you to enable or disable the firewall by checking or unchecking a box. Hi Vincent Thank you for the clarification I can see where this would be a good time to have sticky keys turned on as Flor suggested. Let me add just one thing that I think Mario brought to our attention and I looked a little further into maybe what he tried to say. The Alt, Control plus Page-Up and the Alt, Control plus Page-Down do the temporary speed change as noted. Actually if you use the Windows Key with the Alt, Control plus Page-up or the Windows Key with the Alt, Control plus Page-Down this is what will do the permanent speed change on the fly. Re: [JAWS-Users] Questions about ABBYY FineReader
You can use it with JAWS 14. Tipicly, the scans are translated and sent to another program such as Word or PDF where you can then read with JAWS. The image remains open in Fine Reader until you close it. I don't recall if you can scan, translate, and read the text all in Fine Reader, but I could be mistaken. I do like this program, however. I appreciate it's ease of use.
