Re: [JAWS-Users] skype has stopped working

2014-09-17 Thread Lauren Merryfield
Hi,
I used to be able to enter on the echo test link in my contacts and it would
go through the test. Now I have to tab a bunch of times and actually call
them to get the test. My test then is okay. I'm not sure how I would find a
skype icon when jaws is turned off.
Thanks

Apparently, others are having that same issue after the latest windows
updates.
Their solution was to unload jaws, and then press enter on the skype Icon,
then turn jfw back on.
If you are unsure about that, I would just create a keystroke to launch
skype by going into the properties that way you will know if skype was
launched.
I just rolled back my system to the 14th and it is working now.

If memory serves, I installed an update which caused that issue; however, my

The one thing that sucks is you can only use one email address. I have 4 set
up in outlook, and I get spam in all of them. I'll be in touch.

I just rolled back my system to the 14th and it is working now.

Hello:

Every time I log into skype it says skype has stopped working and windows
will search for a solution or something to that affect.

If memory serves, I installed an update which caused that issue; however, my
memory fails me to which update that would be. Any possible resolution?

Just curious for somebody who is using ILM and has already reverted back to
the standard license of JAWS. Can you still use your system on any flavor of
windows professional?

I use ILM on my lap top but have not taken the plunge as of yet.

The only issue I could see is if one still had XP Pro on something and had

Once you purchase JAWS then that purchase version and all versions below it are
yours to download and use. However, note that JAWS 16 will not work with "XP".

If I purchased jaws 16, it didn't work well on our windows 7, can I
use jaws 14 with full lisence or shall I have to purchase 14
separetly?
